The peacefulness of your Wake Robin retreat begins with a nearly mile-long winding drive through beautiful, wooded dunes eventually opening up to expansive, elevated views of Lake Michigan. Privacy abounds at this 60-acre Lake Michigan estate with a private beachfront. The custom-designed home offers charm, thoughtful planning, and an open floor plan that allows everyone to comfortably share time together. After being a private residence for several decades, we are now excited to share the magic of Wake Robin for other families to relax, unwind, make memories, and discover the best of Michigan’s west coast. ***Adjacent to Wake Robin's Main House is our "Writer's Cabin". Both properties can be rented together. It will be rented separately and the stairs and beach are shared. For more information, please visit my properties listed. ***New to 2020, a custom-built firepit for both homes to gather around, enjoying a view of the Lake over the fire. ***The amount of beach we have to offer depends on weather. Erosion along the Lakeshore is not uncommon. We will keep our guests posted on the condition as requested. ~Hot Tub replaced in 2019. ~Kitchen and bathrooms were updated in 2016. ~Master bedroom off the living room on the first floor and has a view of Lake Michigan, a separate fireplace, and sitting area. The master bathroom has a stone walled shower with a seat, double sink vanity with illuminated mirrors, soaking tub, and a sliding door out to a stone-hedged patio and hot tub. ~Main level "Jack and Jill" style guest bedrooms. Guest bedroom #1 can be arranged to have two twin beds or converted into a King Bed. A bathroom connects the two bedrooms with a vanity/sink area. A pocket door divides this from the tub/shower and toilet. ~Guest bedroom #2 has a king sized bed. ~ 2nd floor guest bedroom has its own 3/4 bathroom and connecting bunk room. The twin beds in this guestroom can also be converted to a king sized bed. The bunk room a set of twin bunk beds with slide out trundle bed. Everything you need for traveling with an infant - teen (with the exception of diapers and toiletries): Multiple pack n' plays, Cradle 'n Swing, tub, bouncer seat, activity mats, high chair, booster seats, bed side rails, plastic cups and plates, basketball hoop, and many board games and outdoor games. ~3 car attached garage ~main level washer and dryer, additional gas range stove in the laundry room ~Kitchen in the center of the house, two steps up from the living room. Gas stove top, dishwasher, garbage disposal, k-cup coffee maker or traditional coffee maker with a built-in grinder, French-door refrigerator w/door water and ice and two drawer freezer below. ~Breakfast nook off the kitchen with a writing desk and sliding door out to the stone-hedged patio and hot tub ~Dining room has an antique round table on the opposite side of the kitchen with an all glass atrium for a panoramic view of the Lake. ~Living room is all sliding doors viewing the Lake on the West and South of the room, connecting to the deck. ~Lake side deck off the living room has three square tables with seating for 16, and two chase lounge chairs. ~Large front yard for playing games and a fire pit (all outdoor fires require a daily permit) ~Stairs to beach has 54 steps. The dune lift is not offered for rental use. ~Foot washing station and shower at the top of the beach stairs ~At the beach: Water sports equipment and sand toys.
