Welcome to Tobacco River Ranch! With more than 450 acres adjacent to State Forest, and nearly two miles of river running through our property, endless adventure awaits! Originally an old forest service logger's cabin, The Ranch Hand was refurbished it with lots of love, and this structure found it's retirement home at the Tobacco River Ranch perched high on the hillside with epic views of the Canadian Rockies and the Tobacco River. Glamping = Glamorous Camping. Our rustic cabins are well furnished and comfortable. We provide everything you need for comfort, in a beautiful, private, quiet setting. There is no power in the cabin, solar lights provided. Guests have access to a community kitchen, bathrooms and showers, as well as tubes and bikes. The Ranch Hand is a private cabin sleeping 2 - we can add a cot for an extra charge, or if your party is larger, we have a vintage tiny trailer we can park next to it for an additional fee. (email us!) The Ranch Hand is one of 6 units at Tobacco River Ranch. Check out our other listings. We host weddings and family reunions too! Whether your thing is hiking, biking, swimming, rock climbing, fishing or forest bathing, we've got you covered. Come for the recreation, but stay to relax! Let us handle the set up, you're here to relax! Your own private and secluded cabin + 450 acres of trails and river. You will experience wildlife, great vistas in a natural setting, but in the comfort of a bed with linens supplied. (And a bath towel, beach towels not supplied.) There is rugged terrain on the property and you will need good walking/hiking shoes. You can unload 100-200 feet from your cabin, but park in designated parking. Toilets are also 100-200 feet from each cabin or camper. We are ranchers (meaning we work our butts off in summer!) SO, we provide everything you need for a comfortable, self-sufficient stay. There's lists of area things to do on our website, and posted in the community kitchen. We are about a mile outside of the town of Eureka, but you'd never know it. Our land borders state land and is quiet and free of night light pollution! Excellent star gazing and wildlife viewing. Eureka is a sweet small town, with everything you need - but without crowds. We are truly the Last Best Place. Just an hour from the Flathead, 1 1/2 hours from Glacier Park, and 1 hour 15 from the Kootenai Falls. Ten miles from the Canadian border. Come to Northwest Montana, and experience Montana without the crowds! Our ranch comprises 450 acres of trails and forests and farmland, 1 1/2 miles of river, is adjacent to state forest, and Rails to Trails runs through our property. You can easily walk to town, bike to Lake Koocanusa on Rails to Trails, or spend all day just swimming or walking the trails on our property and watching wildlife. Glacier International (also called Kalispell Regional) - FCA - is the nearest airport. Allegiant offers REALLY cheap flights from the West Coast...Alaska too - and Delta and United fly direct from Denver and Chicago. We are just over an hour from Kalispell - a gorgeous, easy drive. We are also just over an hour from Libby and the Kootenai Falls, a MUST SEE when in Montana! Other Area Tips: ~Stone Hill Rock Climbing = 15 minutes ~10 Lakes Scenic Area = 1 Hour ~Lake Koocanusa = 40 minute bike ride on Rails to Trails, or 10 minute drive ~Stonehenge Replica + Air Museum = 10 minutes (Reservations Required) Please note our liability waiver: You understand that staying on our property is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with swimming, walking, hiking and staying in our units. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury that may arise from any activity while staying in our units. (Barkers, biters and chasers NOT welcome.) ~No extra guests allowed on property without prior permission. ~No fires except in designated areas - and that is subject to fire conditions (Smoky said so!) ~ALL hiking, swimming, etc is at your own risk. ~Quiet hours: 10 pm - 9 am! ~NO guns or weapons allowed. ~NO food storage or prep allowed in units (it attracts bears, rodents, etc!) ~We love dogs! BUT, ya'll need to be cool for this to work: You must pick up after it, not allow it to chase wildlife, not allow it on the bed, and sweep or clean up the cabin if there is shedding or dirt brought in. Damage caused to the property, stains on the bedding, or physical damage to other guests by said pet is your responsibility.
