Located just four blocks from beautiful downtown Bainbridge and 4 houses down from the hosts' personal home, this one bedroom, one bath historic shotgun house was recently moved to Broughton Street from across town and fully renovated by your host. Enjoy a taste of an original tiny home in the historic district with big personality! Home includes free wifi, fully equipped kitchen, and tips from your host on favorite local stops. Light, bright and airy, with thoughtful touches and details at every turn. Originally a one bedroom shotgun house with no bathroom or kitchen, the heart pine floors were refinished, the low ceilings were vaulted, a bathroom was added, the original windows removed and restored, the porch (and nearly everything else) was rebuilt. Light fixtures and many other details and pieces were salvaged and collected, including the antique clawfoot tub. Those with an appreciation for detail will not be disappointed here. Please do not enter the yard of the house behind the Little House. The driveway is shared but the yard is not. Please do not go further back than the parking area behind the house. Otherwise, the place is yours! Enjoy and take care. As your host, I live just four houses down from the Little House, and will be available by direct message, text or phone call at any time during your stay. I am always available to answer questions about your stay, your experience in Bainbridge, directions, or just where to find a great local craft brew or delicious dinner. A Pack n Play and high chair can be provided upon request. The Bainbridge Residential Historic District is a beautiful neighborhood surrounding historic Willis Park in downtown Bainbridge, Georgia. The district contains a wide variety of 19th and early-20th century house types, styles and sizes. The Little House was originally built just outside the nationally recognized historic district, possibly in the 1920s, but was moved to Broughton Street in August 2019 and renovated where it sits today. The neighborhood is quiet, walkable, and in very close proximity to all there is to do in downtown Bainbridge! Please take advantage of the guidebook I created to get to know our beautiful historic downtown! If you love historic architecture, be sure to check out the Historic Downtown Bainbridge section of the Welcome to Downtown Bainbridge guidebook - you can enjoy a self-guided historic walking tour throughout downtown! To get to Willis Park, where you'll find restaurants, a craft brewery, shopping and more, you'll walk out the front door, take a left, and travel four blocks until you reach the Square. Please note that in order to use the smart lock on the yellow door when leaving or entering, slightly pull on the door knob when locking or unlocking. From the inside, you can slightly push the door and simply turn the silver deadbolt. Please make sure that the door to the fridge latches closed. Yes, it’s actually vintage! But does need a bit of encouragement to close. Please park behind the house or on the street.
