Stay in the Captain Burrows House and experience Mystic’s seafaring history. Just imagine, while you're visiting the Mystic Seaport, that Captain Burrows may have brought goods back on his ship into this house through the cellar door to sell to the shipyards that once sat on the Mystic Seaport grounds. This super quaint New England home is close to shops, restaurants, and more… only a half-mile walk downtown! Kayaks, paddleboards, and bike rentals are just down the street. Or plan to stay put for a day in the bright sun-filled rooms giving you time to relax and appreciate the wide-board floors and other original features throughout this historic gem! If you choose to stay in for a meal, the galley kitchen has what you’ll need to whip up something delicious! The beds are perfectly inviting for resting your weary heads after a full day of activity! Oh! I forgot to mention- I’m (Debbie) obsessed with dishes, sheets, and antiques, so I have plenty sprinkled throughout the Captain's house:) In the warmer months, several areas are outside to lounge about and enjoy the picturesque cove across the way. The backyard has a fully fenced-in area to keep little ones close by.
