Rapha Farms "Barn n' Bunk" DICKSON, TN

This former barn turned living space is perfect for those traveling with a large family or a small group. With 3 bunks and a king sized bed that can split into two twin XLs, you can sleep 8 people comfortably (kids and adults). Our 40 acre farm is located an hour west from downtown Nashville and it's ideal for anyone attending events in the area or just looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. You will The barn is neat and clean and provides a comfortable amount of room for larger families or groups. The floors are original concrete but refinished with stain. All of the old character is trapped inside and is visible in unique and interesting patterns. The bunk beds sit in a room apart from the master and has 2 separate entrances. The king bed can be made into two beds (twin XL) which makes 8 total beds - all with brand new Sealy mattress! The kitchen is fully equipped with a stainless steel electric oven with a glass top 4-burner stove, a stainless steel french door style fridge and freezer combo that includes filtered water. There is also a coffee maker, microwave, and large stainless steel dual-bowl sink and counter combo that is original to the barn. The living room features a 50" Samsung LCD TV, Sony Bluray/DVD player and an electric fireplace/heater that produces extra heat to compliment the cozy atmosphere. This room provides all day comfort with a new large sectional couch. There is also a dining area that is open to the kitchen and living room, making it a truly muti-purpose open space. Finally, a large mudroom with 2 separate restrooms, one of which features a combination shower/tub. Pet-lovers are very welcome! We simply ask that you put your cuddly friend into some type of crate while you're gone (a large metal crate is available and can be found in the bunk room closet). In case your little guy or girl likes to join you on the couch or bed we request you utilize the provided quilted blanket to help maintain a clean space for the next guests and minimize any potential damage to the furniture. Finally, if you take your pet outside we require they be leashed and ask that you clean as you go...(a long lead and poop bags are included in our pet care basket : ). Our personal pets are friendly with others but they have free run of the property so for safety purposes it is best for your companion to be leashed. We also can't take any chances startling the livestock! Your cooperation in following these simple pet-friendly rules will help ensure all pets and farm animals enjoy the experience equally! A couple of small notes...cell service is very spotty in the barn due to the metal construction of the building and there is NO CABLE TV or WI-FI currently available. Trust us, you will be glad about that as there is a world of entertainment just outside your door! The entire 40 acres are available for your use. We allow our guests to decide how much interaction they want during their stay. Some folks we never hear from or see and others are eager to participate in animal feedings and/or garden harvesting. Either way, it's all good! We're happy if you're happy! We only ask that you avoid the patio areas immediately around the main home. We try to minimize any disruptions during your stay but we're always accessible by phone. Should you have any immediate needs someone is always available on the property and can respond promptly. Also there is no need for a key exchange since the main entry is keypad accessible. A unique code will be sent via text prior to your arrival. The property also has a code activated entry gate (to keep the farm animals in) and that code will be provided at the same time. We're seated off highway 70 so no winding back country roads to navigate or get lost! There is plenty of space between our neighbors with lots of privacy and room to roam. There is a freight train that runs periodically and can be heard on our property. If you are a very light sleeper it can potentially awaken you, which is why we offer a white noise machine in the master bedroom. Also, as the name suggests, the "Barn n' Bunk" is on farmland which is home to chickens, goats, sheep, a donkey, the dog, and a handful of mousers (cats). They are all very friendly and have regular human interaction so if you decide to say "hi" you will likely have new friends! Dickson is home to many different stores and markets. A Dollar General is just a mile down the road if you need some essentials. For anything more substantial the town of Dickson is about 10-miles away and offers a Kroger, Walmart and plenty of fast food options. Plus there is historic Downtown Dickson which is home to many quaint shops. You will find endless knick-knacks, souvenirs, antique stores, coffee bars, eateries, etc. If you plan on spending most of your time in Nashville, the "Barn n' Bunk" is very easy to get to from I-40. We do have a half acre pond near the main entrance and it is stocked with fish. Feel free to enjoy the view or throw your fishing line in and try to catch a bass, blue gill or crappie. It is a catch & release policy so please be gentle when removing hooks to put them back. There is also a mile and a half series of hiking trails to explore on the back half of the property. Many interesting things await you along the paths including a gorgeous view of the neighbor's 13 acre pond.
