We welcome large families and groups of friends doing something special together and looking for quality, unique accommodation. Parties and events are not allowed in the house as we have lovely neighbours to consider Rivermead House is the perfect house for large gatherings with nine bedrooms, a modern light open dining room leading out onto a wide decking area, located in the centre of Bruton. Rivermead House can accommodate up to 38 guests, and there is plenty of free car parking nearby. Rivermead House was originally built in the 1980's but recently has had a huge renovation adding the annex and completely changing the interior of the house. The house is comprised of nine bedrooms; 3 double rooms and 6 bunk bedded rooms, all with their own en-suite bathrooms with showers. One of the double bedrooms has a small balcony. All towels and linens are included. Communal areas include a large sitting room with TV, and an open plan dining area leading off from the kitchen. There is a useful boot/drying room on the ground floor and two washing machines and a tumble dryer. The living areas on the ground floor are focused around the large outdoor decking area, making it very social. Rivermead house is the ideal location to explore Bruton and the surrounding Somerset countryside. The house is ideally situated half an hour from Longleat, and close to Frome, Glastonbury, Wells and the Royal Spa City of Bath. The beautiful grounds of Stourhead make a lovely day out in all seasons. Castle Cary (the next village) and Frome offer direct trains to London. Bruton itself offers many cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops within a short walk. A visit to the world famous Hauser and Worth Art Gallery, located at Durslade Farm is a must. Notable eateries include The Chapel, Osip (Michelin starred), Roth Bar and Grill, The Hive and Matt’s Kitchen. The nearest beach would be Burnham-on-Sea (Somerset), approximately 26 miles away. The beaches on the Dorset coast (Weymouth and Lyme Regis) are approximately 45 miles away. With one car parking space at Rivermead House, additional free parking is 150m away at the adjacent Mill on the Brue Activity Centre.
