Outside is a huge high-end barbeque, we provide the propane so you can get to grilling. From the front of the house, you can see the mountains and Carinthia Lodge area. The Perfect Day Since you are so close to the mountains, you can either spend your entire vacation on the slopes, or have a more eclectic vacation with lots of different activities. You will not be spending your precious relaxation time driving to and from the mountains! After waking up, enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee or tea while watching Mount Snow come to life. Once brunch is cooked up, your group can shred some early morning snow, then head into town for a bite to eat and some time to recover. Dover is only a few minutes away, and the great small city of Wilmington is less than 15 minutes away. You can have a second (or third!) ski session in the afternoon and evening, then regroup at the home for a dinner at the home, a cookout at the barbeque, or allow our concierge to set you up with a private chef or catering! Wind down with a friendly ping pong tournament, or catch a came in the living room with the crackling fire and your favorite beverage as ambiance. Then it is time for a good night’s sleep in our comfy and private beds to prepare for another great Vermont day! The Neighborhood Location, location, location! Next to the slopes, and minutes to the Mt. Snow golf course, the beauty of this home is the fact you won’t have to spend a lot of time traveling, if you do not want to. Up and down Route 100 is everything you need. There are grocery and convenience stores where you can buy your favorite foods, but for a real Vermont treat, check out any one of a number of family farms that sell the freshest produce, eggs, baked goods, and meats, all of which you can take back to the house and use in your meals! And if you decided to book between June and October, and love berries, you are in for a treat, for they will be in season, and many farms offer pick-your-own. For those who like to pair their meals, cheeses, and snacks with wines and beers, there are wineries and breweries to tour, or you can purchase the local products in the shoppettes. All of which supports the local economy, as does browsing the local art galleries and shops. They make great thank you gifts for friends, family, or the house/pet sitter, or are a great memento of your amazing time in Vermont. For the visitors in fall, here to see and smell the changing leaves, there are plenty of trails to hike down, country roads to drive, and mountain vistas to look around. For the sportsmen and sportswomen, there are lakes and rivers to fish, or to go rafting and tubing and boating. Each season also has its festivals and fairs, which also support the local economy, and provide fun for the whole group, of any age. For those looking for convenience and to be close to the best Vermont has to offer, you can’t go wrong with our home! We know you will love your stay and bring home a ton of great memories.
