Secluded guest house with SEASONAL pool on 8-acre Lake Travis cove-front estate. Lake Travis is NOT a constant level lake, PLEASE SEE LAKE ACCESS TO UNDERSTAND ACCESS TO THE COVE WATER. This cozy 2 bedroom (1 King & 1 Queen), 2 bath guest house is situated on 2 acres separate from the main house; tucked amongst live oak trees with relaxing patios and various seating areas. It is the perfect escape for a weekend of outdoor and lake activities, wine tasting, dining, and shopping. After a day of exploring the Hill County, enjoy the privacy of the 8 acres in a lovely setting with breathtaking views. Sorry, we have a NO PET policy. LOCATION Spicewood is 20 minutes west of the Hill Country Galleria (Bee Cave /Lakeway) for uptown shopping and restaurants and 45 minutes west of Downtown Austin for music, culture and lots of restaurant choices. Or go west 20 minutes to Marble Falls, home of the famous Blue Bonnet Café, and 40 minutes to the Hill Country Wine trails / Fredericksburg. Spicewood offers the best of both worlds—quiet lakeside living bursting with natural beauty, wineries, vacation-worthy eateries, pool halls, and cafes. Just minutes up the road is the award-winning Opie's BBQ (not open for dinner), Spicewood Vineyards, Iron Wolf Distillery and Krause Natural Springs with waterfalls and swimming holes. Not far is, El Gaucho Winery and Stone House Vineyards, as well as golfing at Lakecliff and Pedernales Golf Course. For outdoor activities, book an adventure with The Cypress Canopy Tours, or head to Pace Bend Park for cliff trails, mountain biking, and hiking along 9 miles of Lake Travis shoreline or Muleshoe Recreation Area trails with gorgeous lake views. LIVING AREA This cozy guest house has an open floor plan with bamboo flooring and tons of natural light. Two couches provide comfortable seating for 4 and features a 55” flat-screen TV with DVD/Blue Ray Player and Roku TV. Netflix & Amazon Prime for use with guest’s own login. Free WiFi, movies, games, cards, dominoes, and books available for your enjoyment. KITCHEN & DINING The kitchen is equipped with granite countertops, new modern appliances, and stocked for all your cooking needs. Enjoy the high-end Ninja hot & cold brew system to make irresistible coffee and tea recipes. A Keurig pot is available; need to bring your own pods. BEDROOMS & BATHS This home sleeps 4 guests in two bedrooms. The master has a king bed with adjustable bed base and en-suite bath with a walk in shower. The guest bedroom has a queen bed and adjacent bath with tub. OUTDOOR AREAS This home boasts abundant outdoor space. The large front yard overlooks a peaceful cove on Lake Travis, where you can enjoy the slight breeze off the lake. We have several outdoor seating areas. Step out onto the 200-sf covered porch to drink your morning coffee while watching the fog rise off the lake or abundant wildlife. Use the side garden table setting for outdoor grilling (propane provided) and dining. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine at the cove-overlook area or hang poolside to catch one of the many breathtaking sunsets. POOL - SEASONAL, NOT HEATED typically available to guests mid-March through mid-October. Beach towels and floats are available. Guests will have exclusive access to the pool. Owner will use the pool only when guests are not there or outside of pool hours. Outdoor Games - Bocce ball court, cornhole, and croquet equipment are available. LAKE ACCESS - The guest house is on the cove side of the lake, with water and high cliff views from the house porch / yard. You can access the lake/cove via some stairs and a wide open pathway that meanders behind the main house and down to the sloping area on the cove. We have enough space for you to BYOB (bring your own boat). LCRA has a free public ramp 4 miles away where you can launch your boat. If you don't have a boat, a fishing guide lives in the neighborhood. Call John Gilbert at 512-913-2757 for more information. He docks from the homeowner park; you don't have to leave the neighborhood. Water Access: ***Guests should check www.lcra.org for water levels as Lake Travis is not a constant level lake. Please investigate the water depth before entering. EXTRA AMENITIES Parking for two vehicles and a small boat/trailer. Extended stay guests will have access to a private entrance to use the washer / dryer in the main house. MINIMUM AGE LIMIT TO BOOK IS 25.
