Relax in a soft color pallet with nary a bear nor moose to be seen. Enjoy direct access to water February through September, and wooded countryside year-round. Explore hiking trails and rock climbing in the southern Appalachian lowlands. Fish for bass and crappie in our lake. Sleep up to six in our cozy chalet. Let the kids have their privacy in the sleeping loft, complete with a reading nook and books! Jump off the dock for shallow swimming in the warm months, walk outside on any clear night and see more stars than you have in a long time! Relax on the deck with a book and listen to the birds. Watch a family movie on the smart TV with a fire in the gas fireplace. Bring your kayaks, SUPs, canoes, and hop right in the water most months of the year. Area roads are long and uncongested—perfect for a serene bike ride. Cook family dinners in our fully-stocked kitchen and enjoy them indoors or on the deck at a 1940s Biergarten table while looking at the water. Want to grill? We have gas and charcoal grills. House, deck, dock, immediate acreage, but don’t venture past tree lines into other properties. PLEASE NOTE: Early check ins and late check outs are not typically possible, and if they happen to be something we can accommodate, we will charge $15/hour for each hour outside of check-in and check-out. You may reach me via text or email provided through this application. 20 minutes from beautiful Little River Canyon National Preserve. 35 minutes to DeSoto Falls State Park. 30 minutes to Rome, Georgia and Gadsden, Alabama. 40 minutes to Pigeon Mountain—some of the finest bouldering in the Southeast, 45 minutes to hang-gliding on Lookout Mountain, Georgia. This is an outdoor explorers’ quick getaway heaven. Guests should arrive and get around by car. All places of business are too far to walk or bike. Pets are a one time fee of $75 that will be charged the day after check in. Service animals are by law not charged for their stay, but also by policy require documentation and are not allowed to stay at the home alone at any point.
