This New England log home, located in the foothills of the Green Mountains, overlooks 40+ acres of forest and a year-round brook. Sun-filled with an open concept, the home includes a chef's kitchen, two master bedrooms, one queen bedroom, a bunk bedroom, and three and a half baths. Some other features include the stone hearth fireplace, heated tile floors, wrap around deck, and private trails (some are seasonal). You will hear the brook from the deck. At night, star gazing is a must. Well-mannered dogs are permitted for an additional fee. Farm to Table dining or delivery is available at this home for an additional fee paid directly to the local chef. The Area: Quechee, Vermont is known best for it’s fine dining, local shops, beautiful forest canopy trails, the famous Quechee Gorge, swimming spots, and Ski Quechee. Quechee is not far from well known ski locations such as Suicide Six, Whaleback Mountain, and Storrs Hill Ski Area, which has night skiing. Killington is a 40-minute drive. Other things to note: There is a fifth bedroom/bunk room that is private. Water conservation: This home has a well. You can drink directly from the faucet (spring water quality). This home has a older septic system. Nothing but minimal toilet paper should be flushed. Please use the dishwasher over hand washing when possible. Please be considerate of water usage. Laundry room is in the basement. Trails: the upper trail off the driveway is best for late fall and winter and leads you to the wetlands and to the forest (additional details are provided in the home). The new path near the split rail fence leads you down to the brook and streams to the forest. The path leading down is very steep. Please use caution. Wildlife: There are black bears, moose, and coyotes in the area. Please use caution and common sense when encountering wildlife, remembering wild animals are more likely to fear you. Refer to the state of Vermont for further guidance. Reservation Requests: Please provide information regarding your reservation request, such as traveling with family and/or friends, before requesting your stay. Please also include whether you will be bring a pet. Thank you!
