Welcome to the Howard House. A hidden gem situated centrally on beautiful Nippersink Lake, part of the Fox Chain, just an hour outside of Chicago. This spacious and stylish retreat is located on a hill with ultimate views of the lake and amazing sunsets. Located very close to downtown Fox Lake and the Metra train stop. With over 60 ft of lake frontage, a private dock, fire pit and swimming area, you'll never want to leave! Some of the best walleye, panfish and musky fishing in IL! The first floor is has an open kitchen, living and dining room, along with a game room that houses a bumper pool/poker table. Office/bedroom with futon also on first floor, with a space for working remotely. Full sized washer and dryer available for guest use. Second floor includes 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Pack n Play, toys and a mobile baby gate is available for little ones. Plenty of space for families! Relax on the large, wrap around deck with seating for everyone. Enjoy cooking dinner on our gas grill. Rent a boat, go anchor at a sandbar, ski, fish, swim and keep it at our private dock. Or just enjoy our swimming area right next to the dock. Winter activities are plentiful! Wilmot mountain is a 10 min drive. Several sledding and tubing hills are also nearby. There's also plenty of ice fishing, ice skating and snowmobiling when the lake freezes over. Howard House is situated just a 2 min drive to downtown Fox Lake. Tons of restaurants and grocery stores very close to home! The Metra train station is also very close, making it very easy to get to and from Chicago. Jet Funn boat rental is just a half mile down the shoreline. There are also plenty of waterfront restaurants and bars to get to by boat! Note: No bachelor/bachelorette or loud parties permitted.
