Newly renovated, clean & cozy cottage conveniently located in the town of Shenandoah. Walking distance to Shenandoah River, a public boat landing, local stores and small parks. Central to many attractions people visit in the Shenandoah Valley including Luray Caverns (15 mi), Massanutten Resort (9 mi), Shenandoah National Park (12 mi) and a short drive to local colleges like JMU, EMU, and Bridgewater College. Easy access to Shenandoah National Park via Elkton Swift Run or Luray Thornton Gap. We renovated to a standard of which we prefer when we travel. Enjoy comfy, clean furnishings, updated finishes, a well-stocked kitchen with Keurig coffee bar and open living area. Sleep sound knowing each layer of your bedding is washed between every guest. Pillow variety available. Each bedroom has a queen bed with a Roku TV and USB lamp. An inviting deck for grilling or relaxing. Outdoor seating and fire pit with wood and roasting skewers provided. Large yard for outdoor recreation. You will have the home to yourself. There is an unfinished basement that we keep locked. Covered parking next to the home. We live on the neighboring property so feel free to call or text if you need anything. Otherwise, we give you your space. Come enjoy nature and the small town feel of Shenandoah, VA. Walk to the local sandwich shop, pick up ice cream at the local ice cream stand and head to the river to feed the ducks. Feeling more adventurous? The public boat landing is .2 miles away. Launch your kayak or canoe and enjoy the tranquility of the Shenandoah River. Sit on the porch and watch the trains come into the historic train station just down the street. The only working rail yard between Hagarstown, MD and Roanoke, VA is just up the street from the home. It is the only place where you can watch them switch out rail cars (for Norfolk/Southern Railroad).
