Our cozy historic bungalow, completely renovated in 2021 with Airbnb guests in mind, is ideal for 1 or 2 people. You'll have the whole place to yourself. You'll be staying in The Salon bungalow, listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural significance. The little bungalow sits next to a 1/2-acre green space on the grounds of the Lewis Shaw Coleman house, Lawrence County Missouri's only private residence listed on the National Register. The Salon Bungalow is located in a safe, quiet, historic neighborhood, one block from Aurora's Oak Park, two blocks from Aurora's City Hall and downtown, and three blocks from our local coffee shop The Garden Exchange, Starbucks, and a full-service grocery. Lawrence County's center of government in Mount Vernon, the new Amazon Distribution Center in Republic, and Springfield, Missouri's third largest city, are just minutes away. It's a beautiful one hour drive through the Ozark mountains to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. Fishing for wild rainbow trout at Crane Creek, a spring-fed Blue Ribbon trout stream managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation, is 9 miles away at the Wire Road Conservation Area.
