Summary: This hillside location is 7 minutes to the Village Green of "Vermont's prettiest little town". Hike the beautiful trails of the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park, rent bicycles, fly fish the Ottaquechee, tour the Historic Billings farm (milk a cow and make butter). With plenty of activities for everyone you can spend a day antiquing, visit the Quechee gorge and the VINS nature center, pick apples and blueberries in season or visit a local brewery. For all you horse lovers the Green Mountain Horse Association is 3.5 miles away. This association is dedicated to holding equestrian events, educating equestrians of all ages, and preserving trails and open space. You can pick up supplies 2.5 miles away at the incredible Woodstock Farmers Market, or treat yourself to a meal or cappuccino at one of the village's many eateries. Now, if reading about all the possibilities tires you out; well, hey, kick back and just hangout in this beautiful spot! The Space: Camp in the privacy of fields and meadows with long range sunset views and enjoy the many attractions and activities that Woodstock has to offer. Guest Access: This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. The Tentrr Loo is located in a timber frame outhouse next to the canvas tent. Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that heats the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. What you should bring: -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows -Lanterns and lighting -Firewood for the campfire Other Things to Note: Please be very careful with fires. Remember small is better and always put ashes in the metal can provided. One live ember can start a grass or forest fire. Clean up after your pooch and don't allow it to dig. We are rife with wildlife. We see deer nightly, hear coyotes in the distance, have lots of wild turkeys, some raccoons and an occasional black bear. To keep the critters at bay, lock all food up and do not throw leftovers into the field! For more details please read the Perch Manual. Interaction with Guests: Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set! Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). If you have any questions regarding your reservation, Tentrr Customer Support can be reached at (888) 798-9093 or at [email protected].
