Lake Nokomis Retreat
Welcome to the heart of Northern Wisconsin vacation and recreation playground. Nestled in a quiet wooded lot just off Lake Nokomis you will find tranquility and may often see the wildlife and hear the ducks, geese, loons, and see Eagles flying. Although you are not on the water you can enjoy the beauty of it as it can be seen out your window and from sitting on the deck or by the firepit. Enjoy the lake and all it has to offer as you are just under half mile from the Nokomis Drive boat landing. The property has 3 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms upstairs 1 has queen bed and other a full bed. Downstairs there is a large bedroom with queen bed and an attached full bathroom, in addition there is also a futon pullout in a quaint room adjacent to the bedroom. There are full bathrooms on each floor and a washer and dryer in the basement. In summer you can escape the heat of the day as the home has central Air Conditioning. The kitchen and family room has the open concept and the kitchen is fully equipped with a Keurig and the essential items needed to make your meals and to enjoy your beverages. There is a large paved firepit (split firewood and folding bag chairs included) to enjoy on a beautiful summer or fall nights while enjoying a campfire and enjoy your favorite Smore (marshmallow skewers include). In the event of some shower there is a screened in three season gazebo with a light and fan to escape and still enjoy the outdoors. There is also a deck with a picnic table and chairs where you can enjoy views of Lake Nokomis. A heated garage has been converted into an additional gathering area which includes a bar and lounging space and has racks to hold your helmets. There are various board games also provided. There is parking to accommodate four bed ATV / Snowmobile trailers or boats. There is a carport as well. Location! Access Lake Nokomis via the Nokomis Drive boat landing which less than a half mile from the property. Jump on your UTV or ATV right outside the front door and directly access the UTV/ATV trail system. The Bear Skin trail is close by to enjoy for walking, biking, or snowmobiling. In winter you have direct access to snowmobile trail system via Lake Nokomis. Many of Wisconsin’s best fishing lakes within an easy drive for a day trip. Tomahawk is 7 miles away, Minocqua is 25 miles north, Wausau and the Granite Peak ski hill are 50 miles to the south. The Nokomis area has several Pub and Grubs as well as fine dining and of course the ice cream shop open in the summer on Lake Nokomis.
