Historic Himrod Eagle Apartment

Beautiful, recently renovated full apartment. Less than a mile from Rt. 14 and dozens of wineries and breweries! Close to the Lake, Hiking, Biking and Watkins Glen International, there is no shortage of fun things to do nearby. The apartment is spacious, clean and has all the amenities you could need, a full kitchen, two full baths, WIFI, smart tv and laundry. Originally built in 1861, the Himrod Eagle has been everything from a full service bar and restaurant to an Inn and even a barber shop! The Eagle is placed along what once was the very busy Himrod Rail Station which brought passengers visiting the area on vacation, workers to various plants and even transported soldiers on their way to be deployed for every war from the Civil War to the Korean War. The Eagle has hosted celebrities, local and national and even Frederick Douglass gave a speech there. The original three story building burned to the ground in the 1940's and a new two story building was constructed and stands there to this day. Cozy, clean and recently remodeled, the apartment has every amenity you could ever need! You have a private ground level entrance and parking to access the apartment. Although it is a second level apartment, it is ground level on the backside, meaning no stairs to climb! You have full utilization of the updated kitchen and coffee is included in you stay. Two full bathrooms including a Master Suite. There are two bedroom with Queen beds in addition to the Master which has a King. We are available if you need us! We are situated in the small village of Himrod, which is centrally located to many wineries, breweries and distilleries, state parks, the Watkins Glen International racetrack, as well as Seneca and Keuka lakes. When you stay with us, you will see horse and buggies traveling on our roads, and enjoy the slower pace of a small town life. Driving is definitely a necessary mode of transportation here. But all you hardy souls would also enjoy biking or hiking on the Finger Lakes trail.
