Queen Bed-Private Room #2 in Heart of Camarillo

Welcome to our family home in Camarillo, CA. We rent rooms in our home to guests who want to stay 2 days, a week, a month or more, at a time. The room is completely furnished and private. Camarillo is central to many area attractions. It is less than a 1 hour drive to Santa Barbara, Malibu, Ventura Beach, Westlake Village, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, Camarillo Outlets, Reagan Library and LAX Airport. If you want the feel of a comfy family style home, you have found the right place. We raised our large family in this home and neighborhood and now we are a recently retired couple who have opened up two of our bedrooms to rent to guests. Camarillo is a quiet community but close enough to big cities and beaches and hiking trails. Our home was built in the 1960's and has a nice feeling to it. It may not be modernized as some, but it's clean and comfortable and in working order. The shared kitchen and living spaces are open to our guests and we try to make you feel very comfortable. Our laundry machines are free and available to our guests as needed. We live in the home and are away only on occasion and available to our guests as needed, either in person or by text. We respect our guests privacy when they are in their own room but welcome you to share our living spaces if you want. It's not a "party" house but is a nice place to rest and clean up from your comings and goings. All common areas which are living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, back and front yards. We treat our guests like family but give you your complete privacy. My husband and I still live in the home, recently retired ,so we are available to you if you need us for any questions or needs. Our home is generally quiet and we have rented to nurses who sleep during the day but work at night. We live in an established neighborhood that is safe, well lit at night and has sidewalks for lovely walks. It is not a silent neighborhood...you can hear nature, some light traffic, kids playing outside on occasion but our home and backyard are peaceful and comfortable. A car is needed to get to our house, or Uber or Lyft. Public transportation is available such as busses and Amtrak but a mile away. The 101 Freeway is a mile from our home and easy to get on and off from.
