The community is only 15 minutes from the University of the South in Sewanee. It is also a short drive from Nashville, Chattanooga, and a couple hours from Atlanta. Located atop Monteagle Mountain halfway between Chattanooga and Nashville, Monteagle is the gateway to the outdoor adventure within South Cumberland State Park ( 3 minutes away).
