Boat to your favorite restaurants and bars (5 nearby), fish from your dock and recreate anywhere on this 6400-acre lake. A soaring wall of windows will embrace you the moment you the moment you open the front door. On one side three bedrooms, bath, and bonus room and on the other side is a stunning 700 square foot master suite. The master suite, bath, and shower feature a king bed and couch, and 14-foot cedar ceilings. Windows and doors open onto a large martini deck overlooking the water. A custom Italian tile bathroom and shower with multiple showerheads await to start your day with a wall of water! His and her sinks, cherry cabinets, and separate walk-in closets are there to pamper you. A set of stairs take you down to a great room that is truly GREAT! Rock climbing and nature enthusiasts will love the 20ft Stone and log fireplace that reaches up to the cedar ceilings. Sports fans, armchair quarterbacks and movie buffs will find the TV room irresistible. The adjacent kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances and an abundance of custom natural hickory cabinets, a 5-person island counter, and pantry and triple window French doors overlooking the lake. Amazing views from your kitchen and dining area - an entertainer’s dream! Beautiful flooring and finishes throughout. Laundry should you need it is a pleasure in this laundry room. Mrs. Cleaver would have loved this room - it even overlooks the lake! Getting around the area is simple with your own vehicle, otherwise while a bit remote Uber is available. No problem with parking, there is parking in the driveway for 6 cars. Bring your own boat or rent our pontoon for a day or for your entire stay. For fun and fast transportation rent Amy's jet ski's! they are brand new and ready to go! Your hosts, Colleen (SuperHost) and Greg, and Co-Host, Amy (Superhost) are available via phone and live right around the corner should you need assistance with anything during your stay. The Lake Wissota area is brimming with small town charm, and the lake is vibrant with 5 rivers coming into it, 2 islands, multiple nearby public landings, 3 marinas, a public beach, the Wissota State Park and 7 restaurants and bars sporting tasty treats, libations and live music - accessible by water. Nearby Chippewa Falls is filled with small shops and restaurants and has a large movie theater. The famous Leinenkugel’s Brewery and Lodge is a short drive into Chippewa Falls and is always a fun tour and shopping spree for the whole family. Our home is located on a large bay that once sported a mermaid at the mouth of the bay, and the locals named it Mermaid Bay. It is an approximate 15-minute drive from the Eau Claire Airport, 1.5-hour drive from Minneapolis, 2.5-hour drive from Madison and 3.5-hour drive from Milwaukee. There are numerous restaurants and bars within 10 minutes’ drive of the property, with 5 located just minutes from our bay by boat for lakeside dining and fun. There is a public beach on the Large Lake Wissota 5 minutes away. For supplies, there is a large grocery store with attached liquor store within minutes of the property, and for live bait, there are multiple gas stations nearby. 5. Water sports • Lake Wissota is a 6,400-acre, man-made freshwater lake. There are 5 rivers that flow into Lake Wissota. The lake has an iced tea looking appearance due to the heavy minerals present in the rivers coming from the iron belt to the north and flowing into the lake. This is very normal, and perfectly safe to swim and recreate in. We ask you to use the lake at your own risk. There are no lifeguards present. Please utilize floatation devices and safety vests when swimming, fishing or recreating near the lake. Our shoreline gradually slopes down, and the depth of the water at the end of the dock is approximately 5 to 6 feet deep. There is very good pan fishing from the end of the dock straight out about 20 feet and near the shore on either side of the dock. Local Eateries • There are a number of great local restaurants in our area, including: High Shores Restaurant (accessible by boat) – located on Hwy X, just down the road to the west. They feature a wide menu at reasonable prices. Kid friendly. Three minutes west on Hwy X. Connells Supper Club – Supper Club (awesome Old Fashion Drinks). Ten minutes away. Loopy’s Grill and Saloon – Sports bar and grill. Approximately 20 minutes away. The View (accessible by boat) – local bar and pub food. Five minutes west on Hwy X. The Sandbar (accessible by boat) – Sports bar and grill. Approximately 8 minutes away. Mona Lisa’s – Italian restaurant in downtown Eau Claire. Approximately 30 minutes away. Captain Jacks – Sports bar and grill between Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire approximately 15 minutes away. Sheeley House Saloon – Traditional pub and eatery located in downtown Chippewa Falls. Approximate 10-minute drive. Local Sites • Oakwood Mall – Located in Eau Claire, WI. Includes traditional clothing stores and multiplex theater. • Leinenkugel’s Lodge – local tribute to Leinenkugel’s beer. Beer tasting and brewery tours available. • Cheese House – if you love fresh cheese, take Hwy. X about 5 miles to the east. Excellent cheese curds and cheese blocks, plus misc food snacks. • Grocery Store, liquor, gas station and hardware store located a few miles to the west on Hwy X. • Gas and Bait – approximately ½ mile to the east on Hwy. X Parking is easy. This home has parking spaces for 6 vehicles in the driveway. Uber and Lyft are available in the area. The closest airport is in Eau Claire and is a 15 minute drive. Most flights are provided by United Airlines. Honeymooners and Small families of 4 or less can take advantage of small group pricing with special offers during off peak season. Please inquire as website does not show small group prices. During summer and early Fall season, deck furniture will be "on deck"! Wicker rattan chaise lounges, wicker sofa with chairs and coffee table, wicker chairs with small drink table. Picnic Tables large and small one for the kids, Adirondack chairs and a variety of lawn chairs.
