Make our home your home. Beautiful, comfortable, large, art filled, high speed WIFI, non-smoking, hamish Hudson Valley home in the woods, two hours from NYC Eight room secluded house. Three large bedrooms, living room, dining room, modern kitchen, fireplace den, large office, 2 1/2 bathrooms, wrap-around porch, screened-in gazebo, two decks, surrounded by woods, large lawn, gardens, pond, play set, and more. Ten minutes to the center of Woodstock or Saugerties, twenty minutes from Kingston. The space: This home is perfect for a family retreat or for a couple of families or a group of friends. Other than the rustling of leaves, the chirping of birds, buzzing of bees, and the sounds of tree frogs, crickets, and hooting owls, it is quite private and noiseless. A large, airy, sun-drenched, non-tobacco home with great WIFI, at the end of a private road, it is less than ten minutes from the historic villages of Woodstock and Saugerties, twenty minutes from Kingston, and smack dab in the heart of the Hudson Valley. Upstairs: The primary bedroom is very large (13 x 20), is en-suite, has a king size bed, a couch, a coffee maker, a small table and chairs, and a walk-in closet. It overlooks woods and a beautiful front yard, with play set and garden. The primary bathroom has a double sink and a separate room with a large tub where you can soak for hours watching the birds or just take a shower and look out that same window. The other wing of the house consists of two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom. The front bedroom overlooks woods on two sides, the front yard and front garden and has great bird-watching. In the summer, the birds just never stop. The back bedroom overlooks the pond, the decks, the gazebo, a garden, and plenty of woods. Also on this floor are the washing machine and dryer and a second walk-in closet. We have a full size, top of the line air mattress, too, should you ever have weekend guests. It can go in any of the three bedrooms or downstairs in the den or the office. Downstairs: The living room is quite large and has two leather recliners, lots of books, and a large Smart TV with Hulu, Netflix, Amazon prime, and Disney+ already there. There is also an oversize couch on which four or five people can sit or two can actually lie down and watch TV. The kitchen is fully-equipped with stainless steel appliances; The dining room has a farmhouse table that sits eight, a side table, and sliding doors that open to the top deck; The den has a couch and two plush chairs should you wish to spend nights at the fireplace; The office is very spacious with two desks, one of which overlooks the front yard. There is a small bathroom downstairs as well. The entire house, upstairs and down, is filled with beautiful art. Inside/Outside: Eat inside, outside, or hybrid style in the gazebo. Outside: The backyard is secluded with a two-tiered deck. The top deck has the barbecue, table and chairs, the screened-in gazebo, also with table and chairs (and WIFI if you want to use it as a satellite office). Butterflies and hummingbirds like it there and you can watch them from the gazebo, the dining room, or the deck. The bottom deck overlooks the pond. It has a picnic table, a loveseat, a couple of chaise lounges, and a lot of comfortable chairs. There, you can spend the days looking at the pond and the nights gazing at the stars. The covered, wrap-around porch in front of the house runs the length of the house, has a variety of Woodstock Wind Chimes, and overlooks the front yard and front garden, where different shrubs and flowers bloom throughout the summer. Rain or shine, it is made for relaxation. There is an outdoor settee, a few chairs, and a hammock that holds two. Should you have kids that want to slide on the slide or swing on the swings, you can join them or watch them from the porch. In addition to all the birds, there are deer, squirrels, and chipmunks. Come nightfall, the fireflies come out. The fire pit is in the front of the house, but if you’d prefer it on the side or back yard, it can be moved. Nearby: There are supermarkets nearby, top-notch restaurants, we're about ten minutes from two movie theaters, the Levon Helm Rambles, several health food stores, ten or fifteen minutes from HITS, and twenty minutes from Kingston. The Saugerties Lighthouse, Opus 40, Bard College with the Frank Geary concert hall, and Kaaterskill Falls are among the attractions nearby. If the kids get tired of our playground, there are larger ones in Woodstock and Saugerties. We are only ten minutes from NYS Thruway exit 20, yet in the woods, far from the stresses of the highway, the city, and the rest of the world. Summer.
