Private, spacious, woodland views, perfect writer's retreat, romantic getaway, or space to chill! Ground-floor apartment in single-family home 45 minutes from NYC. Almost 1,000 sq. feet of space. Full kitchen, bedroom, king-size bed plus fun bunkbed for the kids. Premium bedding, fresh towels, toiletries. Simple, healthy breakfast, coffee, tea, fruit, drinks and snacks provided. Two miles from Mt Kisco train. Walk to nature reserves. Minutes to Whole restaurants. Contactless COVID-safe. Up to four guests can enjoy this large space comfortably. We recommend not more than two adults (sharing the king-size bed) and up to two children in the bunkbed. The space is very carefully cleaned between guest stays and it is COVID-safe. You'll have a private entrance to the ground floor of a large single-family home situated in a quiet area with lots of trees and yards of five to ten acres. We live upstairs and are happy to chat and give advice or leave you in complete privacy. There is a well-equipped kitchen and we provide basics like eggs, milk, herbs and spices, cooking oil and so on. We also provide free basic breakfast foods, coffee, tea, snacks, sodas and there is a water cooler with Poland Spring water. Breakfast includes homemade granola, Green yoghurt and fresh-cut fruits. Depending on the season, you might also find some of our fresh home-grown vegetables to prepare or take home with you when you leave. The dining table seats four with plenty of space, and light pouring in through the south facing windows. Across the room is a sofa with some armchairs and a large coffee table where you can relax or read a book -- we provide a small library. The large bedroom has three windows with blackout curtains. It is very quiet with no traffic noise. Each room has a separate controllable "mini-split" HVAC heating and cooling system which is quiet and efficient. There are also ceiling fans with remotes. Please note that this is a well-lit, ground-level apartment with six windows looking out onto a huge garden, with a private entrance. None of the space is shared with us. We will not disturb you unless you need assistance. Because of allergies of some guests we are very sorry we cannot welcome pets. There is no TV because we value peace and quiet, so we also provide some great books to read. Free high-speed WiFi is provided so you can stream your favorite shows on your own devices. This is your private space, with a large bedroom, full bathroom, and an open plan kitchen, dining and family room, with private access. Sorry but you do not have access to the rest of the house. You can also enjoy a large area of the garden. Sorry we do not allow access to the outdoor pool for safety reasons. We live upstairs in the main house and will usually be around. We are more than happy to chat and give advice to help you with your stay. We can also leave you in blissful, private peace. The easiest way to reach us is by text through the AirBnB app. Full instructions for self check-in will be sent to you well before arrival. You'll find it hard to believe you are just 45 minutes from the city and only a couple of miles from the Mount Kisco Metro North station -- it is so quiet and green here. We love walking around the nearby nature reserves, birdwatching or just sitting and reflecting on one of the two-hundred-year-old stone walls that crisscross the area. The house is at the end of a cul-de-sac and long driveway with plenty of parking and complete privacy. The space is also very convenient if you are visiting and working in the nearby towns such as Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, Bedford and Yorktown. You will need a car or a bicycle to get around. Taxis are available, but Uber can be a bit of a wait. We have plenty of off--road parking space but cannot offer garage parking. The nearest shops and restaurants are a five-minute drive away in Mount Kisco and we can give you lots of recommendations.
