Situated along the Cucharas River, it's a private country setting but within walking distance to shopping & dining downtown. Fully equipped kitchen, spacious living & dining rooms. 2 bedrooms: 1 with king bed & private bath; small 2nd with queen bed. Fenced yard for your well behaved pup & swings for the kids! 15 minute scenic drive to Cuchara. 2 EXTRA GUESTS ACCEPTED W/EXTRA FEE. 2 CHILDREN UNDER 12 FREE! Come enjoy country comfort in this updated farmhouse with a vintage vibe. It's an ideal place to renew, refresh, and relax. Great views of the Spanish Peaks from the front porch. Star gazing and bird watching are outstanding! Plenty of privacy and parking. The house is a quick one minute walk to the river's edge located at the back of the property. Cuchara is a short drive away. Other things to note: 2 ADDITIONAL ADULT GUESTS ARE ACCEPTED WITH EXTRA $10/PER PERSON (PER NIGHT) FEE. 2 CHILDREN UNDER 12 FREE. Please note that the house is NOT child-proofed so may not be suitable for toddlers. You are fully responsible for the safety of your children! $50 pet fee billed after confirmation; 1 pet permitted but NOT allowed to be left unattended in house. We do NOT have traditional air conditioning but we do offer an evaporative cooler, window and floor fans. Solar blinds are on west facing windows. Opening the windows in the evening keeps sleeping comfortable. Verizon cell service is sketchy in LaVeta (Calls are difficult - texts generally work fine). AT&T works well! We apologize, but fires are not permitted in the finicky fireplace. Plenty of privacy in this 1,350 square foot house that you will have to yourselves. Coded door lock allows self check-in. Dedicated private parking is on-site. Prior to arrival, we will be available for questions by phone, text, and email. If for any reason we are not available to greet you in person, there is a coded door lock. We are more than willing to assist you in any way. Self check-in with coded door lock. Owners live on the property in a separate residence and are available to assist you if needed but will respect your privacy. The property is located just a few blocks from "downtown" but still within walking distance. The neighborhood is off of the main streets so less traveled and more quiet. LaVeta is located just 15 minutes from Cuchara on the scenic Highway of Legends. Private, off-street dedicated parking. One dog is allowed. A one-time non refundable $50 fee will be billed after confirmation.
