Lakefront Log Cabin on ATV and Snowmobile Trails

Welcome to our log cabin on beautiful and crystal clear Island Lake near Barnes, WI! Island Lake is over 50' deep and approximately 60 acres. It is large enough for skiing and tubing but small enough for kayaking and paddle-boarding and doesn't have the heavy boat traffic of a larger lake. The lake is almost all sand-bottom and you can swim or float right from the shore! Our outdoor accommodations include a Weber gas grill, picnic table near the lake, a fire-pit and a dining table on the deck overlooking the lake. We have 2 stand-up paddle-boards, a canoe and a paddleboat available for your use. We have a dock available if you would like to bring your own boat or rent a boat and have it delivered to our lake. Our home is perfect for year-round recreation as it is located directly on a snowmobile/ATV trail and features a huge trailer-friendly circle drive with plenty of parking (and a basketball hoop). The home features heated floors and a wood burning stove on the main level for the cold months and air conditioning for the hot months! We also have a back-up generator should the power ever go out during your stay. The main floor features complete living facilities including a main floor bedroom with a king bed, a bathroom with a tub and a washer and dryer. Enjoy the gorgeous lake views from the open floor-plan and complete wall of windows and doors to the deck overlooking the lake! The master suite is upstairs and includes a Select Comfort queen bed and large master bath with a separate tub and shower and walk-in closet. The lower level features 2 bedrooms overlooking the lake, a a family/game room with a sleeper sofa, air hockey table, foosball table, dart board, a new arcade game and another bathroom with a shower! The first lower level bedroom has a queen bed and the second has a twin over full bunk bed and an additional twin bed. There is new carpet and fresh paint throughout the entire home. Our location is great…Cable, Duluth and Hayward are all within a short drive!! We are an easy drive from the Twin Cities (approximately 3 hours and all on paved roads). We are also not far from Bayfield, where you can hop on a ferry to Madeline Island for a fun day trip! Let me know if you have questions about our location or activities!
