Island Getaway at Dragons Lair

A short walk away from the warm gulf waters. Public access to the beach is 200 yards away from the property, directly across the street. The bay is 100 yards in the opposite direction and has some of the most beautiful sunsets you will ever experience. The property is set up like a duplex. There are two units on the main floor. My husband and I live on side “A”, and we rent side “B” to our guests. Both sides are separate, fully functional living spaces that only share one wall. The ground floor of the property is common space where you can enjoy the island breeze, relax and listen to music, lounge in hammocks, sit around a table with family or friends, grill lunch or dinner, or boil fresh seafood. Guests may use all common spaces. Area under the camp has hammocks, chairs, and a picnic table for guests to lounge outdoors. BBQ pit and large boiling pot are available downstairs as well. My husband and I live on sight and are available as needed. We understand that some guests prefer their privacy and alone time while others enjoy interacting, so we will adjust to your preferences. I can be reached by phone, text, or email during your stay. Guests will have access to both the beach and the bay. We are located on a narrow part of the island, so both are within viewing distance of the property. The beach is across the street (LA-1), approximately 200 yards from our location, and has a public access crossing. The bay is at the end of our street, about 100 yards away. There are 2 marinas a mile away with boat launches available. Guests can get around by vehicle, bike, golf cart, or walking. Golf carts are allowed on the beach with the purchase of a permit/sticker from the police station. Golf cart rentals are available at several locations near the property. Well mannered pets are allowed with prior approval. There is a one time $50 non-refundable pet fee due at check in. Pet fee can be paid by cash, check, or (Hidden by Airbnb) when you check in. Pets traveling with you should be current on all vaccinations and flea treatment. Please kennel your pets when left unattended in your room.
