Sunny's is a quaint 3BR, 1.5 BTH, 1000 sq.ft. beach front cottage WITH KING BED in main bedroom. Inside is open concept with vaulted ceilings, natural light and newly refinished hardwood flooring. There is a large spacious yard that is uniquely landscaped, a wrap around porch with ample seating, and panoramic views of the bay and garden. Sunny's is far enough from town to feel secluded while still being a short walk away from local amenities. PEAK SEASON Friday to Friday only Sunny’s cottage has a large wrap around porch overlooking the garden and bay with a covered portion on the front. The walk out porch just off the kitchen is situated with a barbecue, outdoor dining space as well as lots of patio furniture perfect for lounging, nature watching, or gathering. On the edge of the front porch you will find a small lettuce garden intended for guest use. Please help yourself during your stay! On the last step of the front porch is a foot washing station. Here you may hose off your feet after playing at the beach. The large lush yard has been landscaped beautifully to ignite your imagination. Follow one of many paths through the hedges and into the gardens towards the warm sandy beach. Be sure to keep an eye out for faces in the trees and our friendly statues. Steps from the front porch is a generous sized fire pit for your enjoyment.The kitchen is fully equipped for all your needs and even has an additional mini fridge for optimal storage. The kitchen is open to the living room and dining table with ample seating in front of a large window with phenomenal views. Never miss out on the fun while whipping up a meal or washing up. The cottage has a water cooler for drinking water. One 18 L bottle is supplied upon check in. The bottles can be refilled at Foodland in Mindemoya or Buie’s in Spring Bay as needed. Should you choose to relax inside, there are two plush couches for you to sprawl out on in the living room. The TV is connected to a DVD player for a rainy day or your family movie night. There are three bedrooms all located in the back of the cottage that come with comfortable KING and double beds to ensure a restful stay. All bedrooms have plenty of storage and windows to the outside that are perfect for listening to the waves as you fall asleep. The one back bedroom has a small two piece ensuite. The main bathroom is bright and clean with a cedar shower, sink with plenty of storage, toilet and towel hooks. There is a door to outside that can be used when wanting to avoid tracking water or sand through the cottage. A short walk on the beach will bring you to the public beach that hosts playground equipment, a interpretive centre, restaurants, and long board walk to take in every angle of beautiful Providence Bay. Providence Bay beach is a wonderful soft sandy bottom bay with multiple sand bars. The water is crystal clear and makes you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation. Guest have access to the entire cottage and private parking in front of the garage. Please stick to the paths through the sand dunes on your way to the beach. The dunes are a very sensitive ecosystem that should not be disturbed. There is no access to garage or laundry. Outside, there are large garbage and recycling bins as well as a small compost bin. Please contact me through air bnb messaging. The cottage is on a quiet back road that runs parallel with the bay of the beach. The cottage property is only separated from the beach by some sand dunes that create a privacy barrier from the beach. Bike, walk, run, drive to other towns. When requesting to book your stay please tell me a little about you and your guests, the purpose of your trip, and if you are planning to have additional family/friends to visit during the day (May be controlled by the STR By-law). There are to be NO parties or large events of any kind. While some visitors are permitted during the day, only the amount of guests in the reservation are to be at the cottage over night. This is due to the strain on the well and septic system as well as may be further limited by the STR By-Law stated below. Violation of the house rules could result in an additional charge per guest, early eviction without a refund and you forfeit the right to leave a review. Guests are required to provide proof of ID to the host prior to confirming reservation requests. Please note the Municipality of Central Manitoulin plans to license and tax Short Term Accommodations. The By-Laws can be found online using a search engine. A Proposed 4% Municipal Accommodations Tax (MAT) paid by the guests may be added to the costs retroactively through Airbnb's resolution Centre if the By-Laws are approved and Sunny’s Beach Front Cottage w/ Panoramic Views will need a license to operate. Concerns should be directed to the Municipality of Central Manitoulin. Any and all controls put in place to maintain a STR license will be followed by the guests and the host. Violation of the STR controls will result in eviction without a refund and forfeit the right to leave a review. Controls for STR license have authority and priority over house rules and listing details. Please bring your own sheets, comforters/blankets (One supplied per bed), towels, beach towels, and pillow cases. Pillows, dish soaps, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towel, and hand towels will be supplied. SAFETY DO NOT use the inside fire place for any reason or turn on electric heaters as it could cause fire hazard. DO NOT drink or cook with tap water. Although water is tested weekly, for your safety please use the water provided from the cooler. SEPTIC DO NOT put anything other than toilet paper in the toilets. DO NOT pour any kind of grease down sinks. If it hasn’t gone through your body it doesn’t go into the toilet! **IMPORTANT** Any issues with water or septic MUST be IMMEDIATELY communicated to me. If the septic system backs up during your stay you could be liable for an addition charge, taken from your security deposit, for plumber or repairs. Garbage and recycling are your responsibility. Garbage/Recycling pick up is every Wednesday. Garbage is to be placed in clear blue bags with no construction or yard waste and be less than 40 lbs. Pick up is at the beginning of Point Simcoe Road (beside the stop sign and across from the curling club). Most guests prefer to use the dump on Thursdays as check out is on Friday (dump card required and is placed within the lock box). Providence Bay dump is located (5 km away) on government road and is open; Summer season Thursday - 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Saturday - 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday - 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Fall, Winter, Spring Thursday - 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Saturday - 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm **PLEASE NOTE** All pets MUST be disclosed and approved by host at the time of reservation. While the property is pet friendly, please; DO NOT allow the pets on the furniture. You MUST pick up any fecal matter in the yard. You MUST remove the bulk of the sand/dirt off your dog before allowing inside. You MUST sweep or vacuum the loose hair inside the cottage. Failure to do so could result in an additional cleaning fee, taken from the security deposit, if the property is not returned to normal upon check out. Please be mindful of what dirt you track inside the cottage. There will be an additional cleaning fee of $10 per major stain on any indoor area rugs or couches. Understand removing these stains are a tremendous amount of work and time. **PLEASE NOTE: PENALTIES WILL BE CHARGED FROM SECURITY DEPOSIT FOR THE FOLLOWING** Any stolen or damaged property - cost to be determined by case Smoking in the cottage - $150 Lost Keys - $50 Late check out past 10:00am or past the agreed upon time - $75 Excessive guest outside of initial agreement - $50/person Excessive cleaning* - cost to be determined after guest checks out *excessive cleaning: sand/dirt/pet hair throughout the cottage, garbage or cigarettes left in the yard, cupboards and counter left with old spills/food, dirty dishes, soiled/stained bed, couch or carpets An additional charge for excessive cleaning is easily avoided if guest clean up after themselves and return the cottage as they found it.
