Parksland Retreat "Hilltop - P1" Campsite

Parksland Retreat is a 40 acre forest with off grid facilities and homestead all surrounded by the Talladega National Forest. Booking includes a campsite private to your group, hot showers, One (1) car parking, and access to the Retreat grounds and waters. "Hill Top" (P1): [Drive Up] Primitive Campsite with fire ring (Large enough for 3 or 4 tents) It is next to the Parkland Retreat drive so is not completely private but is convenient and has a nice view.  "Creekbend" (P2): [Walk in 1/8 Mile] Large Creekside Campsite with fire ring (up to ~6 tents). "Creekside" (P3) [Walk in 1/6 Mile] Completely Private Creekside site with fire ring and two flat spaces for tents.  Hike in sites (P2 ~1/8 mile) & especially (P3 ~1/6 mile) are most enjoyably accessed with a backpack for your gear. The trail drops 80ft of elevation to get to the creek from the parking area. Trail is not wide or flat enough for carts/wagons. Include all humans and pets in the guest count while booking. Agreements: Pets must be leashed when at homestead/center camp or when passing other campsites. Otherwise, Freedom! Parksland is a clothing optional retreat. Some of the people, some of the time choose not to wear some or any of their clothes. We honor each person's clothing choices. Any behavior that does not demonstrate respect will result in immediate removal from the retreat. Off site firewood is not permitted. Quiet Time 10pm - 9am unless otherwise communicated by host. Natural Soaps only and no detergents allowed. Notes: We are blessed with a location with very few mosquitos etc but Spring through early Fall we highly recommend some lemon/eucalyptus spray to prevent noseeum bites. LGBTQ & BIPOC Friendly For the health of our forest, in partnership with the USFS we will do a prescribed burn of our land this winter. Target timing is Jan 3rd - Jan 10th (we have closed the Retreat for those dates but may need to adjust based on weather conditions).
