The Weekender cabin is very unique. The main cabin is a modern, chalet style A-frame with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The property also has 2 detached mini A-frame cabins. One of these mini A-frames is a bedroom with attached half bathroom (for sleeping) and the other mini A-frame is a universal room perfect for meditation, yoga, reading or just relaxing. The entire property is for the guests, there is a fire pit with chairs, hammock, bocci court, frisbee golf, horse shoes, and corn hole. There are several yoga mats, books, movies (and DVD player), games, and records for enjoyment as well. Space indoors and outdoors for relaxing and soaking up nature. The main cabin, two mini A-frames, bocce court, fire pit are all part of the guests stay. The back side of one of the A-frames that has storage is not accessible to guests. The Palomar Mountain Observatory, hiking, and camping site is only a few miles away. Cars should be parked next to or before the mini A-frame that is off of the drive way. This is a mountain cabin with wood burning stoves as the main source of heat in both sleeping cabins. The space heaters should be used sparingly and not as the main heat source and should not be set to high temperatures. Fire wood and kindling is provided for guest use. There is internet and it’s the highest level we could get, but it is satellite, with lots of trees around, so it isn’t amazing. Cell service is very spotty at the cabin, being at the top of the mountain. This allows the chance to enjoy nature, friends and family and turn off from the world. The road off of the main road is dirt and could be difficult for low profile vehicles. You must drive very slowly. There is space for only two vehicles for parking.
