Santa Cruz Mountains Retreat

This recently remodeled Craftsman home provides a spa-like retreat with a new CalSpa hot tub, gas fireplace, a gourmet, fully stocked kitchen that is perfect for crafting family-style meals, a stylish 'farmhouse' decor, two large family rooms, a library, ping pong table, and a large outdoor patio with a barbecue. Large rooms, high ceilings, and lots of light make this gem a place you are never going to want to leave. This is a 5-acre lot with two homes and a studio rental unit. This is not a good place for loud, late-night parties due to the quiet mountain area and neighbors. Calfire is located across the street. No external guests are allowed. The owner lives on the property. Each home has a private entrance and parking. The main house has exterior only security cameras. We are a safe location for friends and/or families wanting to spend time together and enjoy cooking and the great outdoors. We are surrounded by nature and close to local beaches, wineries, and art. The roads up here are windy so it's not a great place to stay if you want to party late at night in Santa Cruz because it gets very dark in the mountains, and there is limited cell in the surrounding mountain areas. We have Verizon Cell service only at our home. We like to give our guests privacy but are here if your need us! We are located about 15 minutes away from UCSC in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We are on located on a private road across the street from the CalFire Station. There are two neighbors on our street and our five-acre property has two homes. We design-built the property with privacy in mind. We are here if you need us, but you probably won't see us! We are above the fog, traffic, and congestion downtown but only 20 minutes of traffic-free scenic driving to get back down enjoy all that Santa Cruz has to offer. Our location provides a forest retreat where you can find lots of hiking, biking and nature walks all around.We have lots of free, safe parking! There are two other units on the property. Both have separate entrances and parking. Please be considerate of our neighbors as noise carries in our quiet mountains. Please reduce outside noise after 10 pm. We need our AC about 2-3 weeks out of the year. The thermostat is automatic. But I will ask you to contact me if the temperature gets above 75. I will ask you to close the upstairs windows if this is the case. Our upstairs only AC unit can cool the whole house, but only if the windows are closed. The thermostat is remote only.
