Modern 3 to 4 bedroom home is nestled at the top of a private mountain. The amenities are contemporary and comfortable. The views and privacy are stunning. There are 37 acres to hike with a few streams that border the property. Close to Shelburne and Greenfield centers; just off route 91. Enjoy apple orchards, petting zoo, Northampton, Amherst, Brattleboro and Berkshires. This is a perfect family retreat offering everything you need to feel at home...while it feels a million miles away. Enjoy our entire property of 37 acres atop a mountain with plenty of sun. Read and relax on the deck and sun porch. Listen to the animals. Enjoy the peace. The space is a delightful mix of pure natural beauty and contemporary comfort. Our guests tell us the photos do not show how pretty and stylish the home is and are pleasantly surprised when they arrive. The large windows allow you to have nearly panoramic views of the outdoors which one can enjoy from the comfortable and well appointed interior. The sun porch, which opens from the new, well stocked, kitchen blends indoors and out and feels like you are cooking in a tree house. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including a coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, pots and pans, knives, cutlery, dishes and at the very least all of the basic culinary supplies, like oils a variety of spices and baking supplies, for example, so that our guests need not interrupt their stay to go shopping if they forget something. There is radiant floor heat, a fireplace and a wood stove. We provide cordwood for you. The house is extremely weather tight so very warm in the cooler months-especially next to the wood stove-my favorite place. The beds are new and cozy, each with 100% cotton or flannel sheets, down comforters and cotton blankets to make you comfortable year round. There is a large soaking tub in the master bath and each bath has a shower-both have great views. There are plenty of sheets and towels and a washer and dryer so you don’t have to pack too much for your stay. We’ve recently renovated part of the lower level of the house, which has 2 twin beds, a queen pull out futon couch, big windows and easy access to the fire pit with great views of the south. This is intended to be a space for kids, with toys and play space, but is certainly fine for adults as well. This level is not heated except for wall heaters. It is useable in the winter, but not warm like the upstairs. Our home is a perfect getaway for families. We have children’s books and toys, a toddler bed and portable crib, a woodland sandbox and fish pond. Sit and relax while your children safely enjoy our natural retreat. You may use the entire property, as seen in the photos. The garage is not available for guest use. For those with electric cars, there is an exterior outlet for charging. We will give you an access code to the lock if we aren’t here to greet you. We are always available by text to answer your questions or make suggestions to help you enjoy your stay. You can go the entire stay without seeing another human. Or you can walk through the beautiful neighborhood, buy local beef, maple syrup and eggs from the farm next door. There are many lovely orchards with farm stores and pick your own fruits. There is even a hard cider maker and tasting room just down the way. For the middle of nowhere, there is so much to enjoy. Our driveway is extremely long, unpaved and steep in spots. You must have a vehicle to get in and out. All wheel drive is necessary in the winter and a plus year round. If you are planning to rent a car, we ask folks to consider renting an all-wheel drive, to preserve the driveway. We finally got internet!!! It’s satellite, so there is an ugly dish, but it works!
