Maple Cottage on North Lindstrom Lake
Welcome to small town living on the lake. Our cottage is located just 45 minutes from the twin cities, but will feel like a world away. The quaint downtown of Lindstrom is just down the street- an easy stroll through a quiet neighborhood with mature trees and beautiful older homes. There is a great coffee shop, cute stores and lots of character. The cottage has plenty of off-street parking and great wifi. The cottage has been updated but retains it's original charm. Walk down the hill to the sandy beach and enjoy the beauty each MN season has to offer. There will be a dock and benches to enjoy the water. Up at the house, there is a deck with plenty of seating, and a fire pit to enjoy the summer nights and great views of the lake. All of the bedrooms and bathroom are on the second floor. We live about 15 minutes from Maple Cottage, and can quickly be on hand if needed. In general, we will stay out of your way! We will provide you with access via a key code for the doors, and will answer any questions as needed. The city of Lindstrom requires us to keep a record of the names, address, phone numbers and vehicle plate information for all guests. We must provide this information to the city within 48 hours if they request it for some reason. We do keep our boat on the dock during the summer (not for guest use) so you may see us passing through on our way on or off the water- but other than a quick check-in to see how you are doing, we will leave you to your family time! North Lindstrom Lake is a part of the Chisago chain of lakes. Boats can be launched nearby and kept at our dock during your stay- some of the best fishing around! Lindstrom is a quintessential small town... safe, cute, and fun. Walk to get ice cream, coffee or antiques. There are groceries wineries, a brewery, and more all within a short drive! The cottage is not air-conditioned. It is very shady and fans will be provided! Welcome to Minnesota summer! Also, the lake is down a rather steep hill from the cottage. Use caution! The city of Lindstrom does not allow any on-street parking for short term rental guests. There are two parking spaces in the driveway- therefore only TWO vehicles may be at the cottage at one time. Beginning in October each year, the dock will be no longer out. The beach front will still be there for campfires and beauty… but swimming season is probably over for all but the very bravest!
