The charm of the main level of our log home overlooks gorgeous Lay Lake. The spectacular views from every window will mesmerize you. The wrap-around porch has access to the kitchen and bedroom with gas grill, eating areas, and places to sit and relax. You can view the sunrise without ever getting out of bed, yet may be too beautiful not to enjoy outside on the deck only steps away. A full kitchen opens to the vaulted den with large fireplace. Come to relax or fish...just enjoy our retreat The large deck may call you to fish or bask in the sun. The covered pavilion can give you respite from the sun yet is very close to the water. The spa slipper tub and enclosed shower is very relaxing. Note the fabulous light fixture as it reflects on the ceiling. Pocket door is usually left open but easily closed if you choose. Rocking chairs on front porch give another view from deck. Read or just relax. Laundry is downstairs to right and is shared with apartment guests. Main level cabin guests have total upstairs access including (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) sq. ft. decks and laundry downstairs. We may or may not be on premises but are only a phone call away. Shelby Shores is the best neighborhood. We have a very caring helpful community. Our community center is open on Tuesdays for crafts, Thursday's for Bible study... both start at 10:00 a.m. We have a potluck the last Saturday of each month. You will need a vehicle to get around the area. We are 10 minutes from a Dollar General, 20 minutes to the grocery store. You may want to bring groceries with you or plan a trip to stock up. We have a couple of delivery restaurants and eateries close by within 15 minutes. There are also great food trucks around most weekends and an ice cream boat on the water. A new sno cone boat is in the works, too. if there are special venues during your stay, we will let you know.
