Please do not park on the grass. Guests should not park on public roads. Other things to note CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check-In: Check-in is no earlier than 4:00pm so we have enough time to have the house cleaned and ready for your arrival. Our house is completely keyless, and Guests will be provided with an access code prior to arrival and will be able to check-in independently. Our house is alarmed so please be respectful of check-in times. At your check-in, if something is not quite right please let us know immediately. Please allow us the opportunity to make it right. Check-Out: Check-out is no later than 11:00am so we have enough time to properly clean the house for our next Guest arrival. A check-out checklist must be completed by Guest prior to independently checking out. Early Check-In/Late Check-Out: Unfortunately, during our high season of July and August, we cannot accommodate an early check-in or late-check out. We appreciate your understanding. Outside of our high season, we are happy to try our best to accommodate requests for early check-in or late-check out, when possible for a fee but cannot be guaranteed. Please send us a message and we’ll see if it’s possible. THE PROPERTY: We have worked hard to create a beautifully designed and comfortable space for Guests, so please treat it with care and respect as you would in your own home. We ask that you please leave the house in the manner that you found it as this home is also our family’s home too. Provincial Park Passes: We have provided two (2) Provincial Park passes (for 2 vehicles) to enjoy during the summer months saving you approximately $20 per vehicle, per visit. These passes are valid for Sandbanks, North Beach and Lake on the Mountain Provincial Parks. Please leave these passes in our home prior to your departure. Hot Tub: Our designer hot tub can fit up to 7 guests. All guests are required to read and understand the above rules and safety guidelines, as well as the operational instructions outlined in our Welcome (Email hidden by Airbnb)     Not following the rules shall be grounds for eviction, loss of security deposit and extra charges to cover any damages. Outdoor Fire Pit: Guests must supply their own firewood. There is an outdoor fire pit and seating for Guests to enjoy. Prior to burning of any kind, Guests must call an automated burn notification hotline and register the six-digit number at the top of the property’s burn permit. This automated hotline will also notify you if burning is prohibited or limited. Unfortunately, we cannot control when burning is prohibited or limited as this is determined by the Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue Department. Further instructions are located in the house and can be reviewed upon arrival. Occupancy: Our home can accommodate ten (10) adults MAX (not including children). Only those Guests noted in the original booking are permitted in our home. We are quite reasonable and accommodating so if anyone else needs to stay, please let us know. Please note, in order to conserve energy and resources we only set out the appropriate number of towels and linens required for the number of Guests noted in the booking. Unfortunately, that means if you do not properly indicate how many Guests will be staying, there will not be enough towels and linens for everyone and no one likes that on vacation! Well Water System: Like many houses in The County, our home relies on a well water system. While water is plentiful, it’s not unlimited like many city centres so please be conservative with water usage. Unfortunately, guests are not permitted to use our garden hoses. Our water right from the ground and does not contain many of the chemicals found in a city water supply. The water is extensively filtered and is completely safe to drink or cook with, however you may notice an odour or taste that you are not accustomed to, so it is recommended that you bring a supply of bottled water if you are sensitive to this. Septic System: The septic system is very effective however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed down the toilet. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper and human waste. Strictly no baby wipes, feminine products, paper towels etc. should be flushed at any time. These items will clog the septic system and you will be charged for the damages. Not fun while on vacation so please don’t do it! CLEANING/HOUSEKEEPING: Waste & Recycling: Please be respectful of the environment and limit your waste. When possible, please take empty bottles home with you so they can be returned appropriately to obtain a bottle deposit refund. Please do not under any circumstances leave loose bags of garbage outdoors or on the deck as there are many critters in the country that will rip open the bags and make a mess. To limit plastic usage, please fill black and recycling bags as full as possible. Upon departure, we prefer that you leave your neatly sorted garbage inside the front door in the foyer. During the summer months, there is one bin on the side of the garage Guests can use. During Your Stay: There are no daily housekeeping services provided. Soiled towels and bed linens can be placed in laundry hampers. You are welcome to use the laundry facilities. You can find an assortment of cleaning supplies should you need them underneath the sink in the kitchen, in all three bathrooms or in the laundry room. Upon Departure and Check-Out: Please leave the house clean and exactly how it was upon your arrival. This includes making sure any furniture, kitchen or household items are placed back where you found them. We have provided a check-out checklist to ensure nothing is overlooked. In extreme cases, excess cleaning will be deducted from your Security Deposit.
