Kootenay Cabin

Welcome to our restful and rustic little one-room Kootenay cabin in the woods. Backing onto the Skimmerhorn mountain range, you'll find hiking trails within easy walking right outside your door, as well as many other trails and recreational activities of all variety within a short drive. Nestled in a cedar forest, the cabin offers quiet, simple tranquility with your own private front porch, fire pit, and a clean rustic outhouse. Situated approximately 10 minutes drive to Creston, you will be close enough to fully experience the many amenities of this quaint mountain town. When you are ready to call it a day, come back to the cabin and rest and recharge in the shade of the forest. Please note- the cabin is not deep in the woods, it is just down and off of our driveway, however is still private and separate from the rest of our property. A small fridge will keep your beverages and snacks cool, and an electric kettle will boil water for teas and coffees provided. There is no running water, however the cabin is stocked with a large dispenser of fresh water. A simple collection of dishes is here for you to use, for snacks and simple meals. The cabin is not set up for preparing hot meals, but there are a number of quality restaurants and eateries in town. We would be happy to give you some suggestions. There is no shower, however it is a 5 min walk down the road to the beautiful Canyon Park campground which has coin showers available. There are also picnic tables, a playground, fitness trails and a ball diamond at the campground. Feel free to explore the property up in the woods if you like :) There is a general store (Canyon Country Store), 2 min drive away, typically open until 9 pm. It's great for snacks, drinks and pizza. No shower available Pets allowed inside cabin but pls don’t let them sleep in/on the bed- it’s too hard on our linens- thx.
