Welcome to Rising Star Farm. This 167 year old home is filled with charm & character and has such a peaceful, relaxing vibe. Perched on the highest point in 4 countries just 1/2 mile north of Flintfields Horse Park, stunning views in all directions. Bright and airy with open floor plan throughout, including hickory floors, granite counters and custom cabinets. Large, fully stocked country kitchen shared with dinning and breakfast nook, joins with cozy living room equipped with a smart TV and Playstation. 1 full bath on main level, 3 bedrooms and 1/2 bath on 2nd level. All bedrooms can be secured master has a king bed and private balcony. The other two guest rooms both have a queen bed, one is adjustable. Plenty of outdoor space to utilize as well. Enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony off the master bedroom as you watch the sunrise over the farm. Grill a mouth-watering BBQ dinner on the back patio as you take in the sights and sounds of our resident northern mockingbird. You won't need your iTunes going when he is in the trees above singing his 20+ love songs to his mate. Any finally sip a glass of award winning regional wine on the front porch as you watch the sun set behind the trees. All the while you can relax as your Canine companion(s) roam freely in the fenced back yard. Sleep soundly on the new memory foam mattresses and upgraded linens. One of the guest rooms has a queen adjustable bed that is wonderful for alleviating back pain or the spouse of a snoring partner! A large A/C unit does a great job keeping the home cool on the hottest of days, but most of the time the cool refreshing night air and gentle breezes provide just the right amount of tranquility for a deep sleep. Don't forget the large bonfire pit that is perfect for hosting friends with S'more on the weekends. Plenty of complimentary wood is provided for your convenience. Guests have access to the entire home with the exception of the basement and one locked storage supply room. Guests and canine companions have access to a fully enclosed back yard, although be aware that very small dogs might be able to squeeze through the fence. Guests may wander around the grounds with dogs on leashes only, due to free ranging poultry and other farm critters. Barns, corrals and pastures are off limits unless arrangements are made with owners ahead of time. Pasture space is available to rent by day or week if your hardworking Equine partner needs a quiet turnout to recuperate and relax. Rising Star Farm is a working Farm so we are on site a minimum of 2-3 times a day to care for animals, and tend to the gardens and fruit trees . We proudly share our organic eggs and produce with anyone who wants to try it! We live just 3 miles away, so are very close if you need us for anything and when on the farm working we try to be as unobtrusive as possible. We enjoy getting to know our guests and cheering on those who compete at the horse shows! Don't be shy to come say hello when you see us around 🙂 Sayler Rd is a registered historic "Scenic Trail" in a highly coveted, safe and friendly rural neighborhood. You cannot find a more outstanding community of people who practice old fashion manners and hospitality to each other and our visitors. You will soon learn how special this place is. The TART Trail system begins just one mile south of our home. This is an enormously popular Trail system for bikers, walkers and joggers, and connects to the VASA Trail system about 5 miles from the start. You can ride all the way to Suttons Bay if you want to! In regards to transportation from our home, if you are involved in the horse shows you can easily traverse the 1/2 mile to the park entrance by foot, bike, golf cart or horse! For public transportation the BATA busses run continuous loops to various parts of Traverse City and outskirt towns and are a great alternative for gatherings who do not want to drink and drive. Bus stops at the Grand Travese Resort and Meijer Supermarket, both about 2 miles away. They also provide transportation to Turtle Creek Casino just east of the horse park. When staying at Rising Star Farm you get to avoid all the Traverse City traffic! Everything you need - groceries, restaurants, beaches, spa services, post office, hardware store, gas, etc can be accessed within 3 to 5 miles from the Farm in the nearby town of Acme. There are so many "Must See & Do"s in our area and we know Northern Michigan well. If you would like help planning a day trip or finding an outstanding restaurant, or best spa treatments, let us know. We love promoting our beautiful region and will give you the best recommendations.
