Cozy lakefront camp on Hopkins Pond. Very peaceful and quiet. Only 1 hour to Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park. Our camp is comfortably furnished with all the conveniences - dock, fire pit with firewood included. (5) kayaks and board games. Quintessential Maine! Spring fed lake perfect for kayaking and swimming, loons calling in the evening, campfire to warm your spirit and a cabin built with love by family. It doesn’t get more Maine than this! DogsOK Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, includes all linens & towels, deck with gas grill and life jackets for the kayaks. Let's not forget the fire pit with wood to get you started and a 6x10 chainlink dog kennel to keep your furry friends close. 2 dogs maximum unless pre-approved. Lots of private parking. Driveway is a bit steep. Don't bring your 10 passenger van down the driveway ;) Trust me. We live in the local area and are only a phone call away. The camp is 3 miles down a dirt road. Third camp from the dead end. Hopkins Pond is a quiet lake with no personal water craft allowed. Perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding or peacefully floating. Feel free to bring bikes for Acadia National Park trails (rentals available in Bar Harbor); Lobster Boat and Schooner trips out of Bar Harbor; Historic Steam Railroad trips from Ellsworth. The camp is only 40 minutes from Bangor International Airport (BGR). Fly in and rent a car at the airport. Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park are a must see and just a 90 minute drive.
