You can pretty much get anywhere by car and not have to worry about finding a parking space at any time. If you just feel like walking around the neighborhood, just step out of the house to go to Light Street, Fort Avenue, and walk to a very charming and busy area full of restaurants. Within a 5-7 min walk, you will be amazed at where you can go just on foot! Please treat the space with respect.
