'Ide-away Cottage, located in the sleepy, fishing village of Cherokee Sound on the island of Abaco. Slow and tranquil, a great place to unwind and escape. A few minutes walk to the iconic Long Dock, beautiful beaches for swimming and shelling, bonefishing flats for the fly fishing enthusiast. Great workaction spot. Within walking distance, grocery store, take away restaurant, shell museum and gas station. 35min drive south of Marsh Harbour. 10min drive to Pete's Pub & Gallery. Rental car advised *Roomy and bright, lots of windows and lots of light. *A dedicated work space makes for privacy if one or more of your party needs to work or you are looking for a quiet "workation" away from it all. *Handicap accessible front entrance and bathroom shower. *Large, fully equipped kitchen. *Large front deck. *Full size washer and dryer. *Liquor delivery $50 minimum. *Beach chairs. Guest has access to the cottage, front porch and front yard. There is an attached apartment with a separate, private access, entry for personal use by the host. There are no shared spaces and this will not affect your privacy or your access to all private spaces in the cottage and on the property. This is a remote area, rental car advised but not required. Everything in town is within walking distance. We are here if you need us and will always respect your privacy. Closest, On The Rocks Liquors at Abaco Big Bird. Also locations in Marsh Harbour. No ATM or Bank, closest Marsh Harbour, but post Dorian best to bring cash with you. Some places accept credit/debit cards but not all. In Cherokee everything is within walking distance. A car will be needed if you want to venture out. Pete's Pub closest Restaurant/Bar 5 miles. Also has Art Gallery. Marsh Harbour/Airport 30 - 40min drive, Taxi or car rental needed. Post hurricane Dorian much of Central Abaco is still rebuilding. However you will find in Marsh Harbour 2 large fully stocked grocery stores and 2 fully stocked liquor stores. Ferries to the outer cays are running and some restaurants there are open. Covid travel restriction are in place. Negative PCR test, 5 days prior, and Bahamian Travel Visa required for entry to The Bahamas. Negative Rapid test, 3 days prior, to return to the USA. Bahamasair and Silver are flying from West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale. Cherokee Air, small private style flights offer a great alternative so no large airport interaction, West Palm Beach. They have a website and on FB. Masks required for travel and shopping.
