Greenpoint is the northernmost neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Originally farmland, the residential core of Greenpoint was built on parcels divided during the 19th century, with rope factories and lumber yards lining the East River to the West, while the northeastern section along the Newtown Creek through East Williamsburg, became an industrial maritime reach. Home to modern day Polish and Irish immigrants, Greenpoint is often referred to as Little Poland. With an easy commute from Manhattan via train or ferry, it is a quaint neighborhood full of chic bars, vintage cafes, and a mix of tasteful and timeless restaurants. Some of these renowned eateries include, ‘Oxomoco' (Mexican), ‘Sweet Chick’ (Southern Comfort) and ‘Lilia’ (Italian). Do you offer parking? We are located in a residential neighborhood, in which there is free street parking. (park at your own risk) We do advise all guests to be cautious of alternate street parking regulations. On weekends and holidays, parking rules are suspended. Is there public transportation nearby? The G train on the MTA Subway Line, is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. It stretches from Brooklyn to Queens, traveling through several popular Brooklyn neighborhoods, including Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Williamsburg and Greenpoint, before ending in Long Island City, Queens.
