Come make memories in this beautiful cabin centrally located between East and West Glacier, both accesses to Glacier National Park. Tucked away in a quiet community with close access to hiking and the river. Sit outside across from Glacier National Park and have a fire in the evening and watch the humming birds on the porch in the morning. This is an awesome place to stay if you have plans to adventure in both sides of Glacier Park. You will be sure to make family memories. This cabin has 1 bedroom, 1 loft space with a full bed and pull out couch. A private ½ bath upstairs in the loft and a full bath downstairs. A beautiful open layout with a living room, dining room and kitchen. Cabin also has a small laundry room. The back deck looks over highway 2, the Middlefork of the Flathead River into Glacier National Park. There is some road noise below the deck. We also have an outdoor table and a fire pit for our guests to enjoy. I am an hour away if guests need me. The cabin is smack dab between the east and west entrance to Glacier National Park. Great location to explore both sides of the park. The cabin is a five minute walk from the Historic Isaac Walton Inn and the Great Bear Wilderness. The Glacier National Park Walton Ranger station is about a 10 minute walk where there are several trailheads including Scalplock Trail. Walton Goat Lick is 3 miles away and the Bear Creek Access is 4 miles. A great local trail is Stanton Lake and that trail head is about 10 miles away. Getting around the area you will definitely need a vehicle. There is options for a red bus tour that leaves from the town of Essex. The cabin is located: 44 miles from Columbia Falls 51 miles from Glacier Park International Airport 28 miles from West Glacier 29 miles from East Glacier 60-70 miles from St. Mary (dependent on which road is open) 89 miles from Many Glacier 63 miles from Polebridge There is no cell service in Essex. You can call via Wi-Fi or use the land line to make unlimited USA calls. We do have Wi-Fi but it is slow and good for checking those work emails. We ask that our guests do not download, stream movies or try to upload photos, our internet is just not fast enough. We are also located close to the Essex train depot so an occasional train noise will be heard. We do not have A/C.
