The Shamrock House 2nd floor apartment is walking distance to local restaurants, bike path and shopping. Newport is a 30 minute scenic drive away. This light filled, spacious 2 bedroom apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen and new appliances. The apartment has a private entrance with parking and a private deck. The University of Rhode Island is 5 minute drive away. There are more than 15 beaches to visit in southern RI. A 5 minute drive to beaches. Your adventure starts here. This second floor apartment best accommodates 2-4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. We do not allow more than 4 adult guests to stay on a given visit. There are year round tenants above and below the apartment. There may be noise. Your apartment has a private deck and grill. The yard is a shared space. Quiet hours are appreciated from 9:30-7am. Shamrock House has shared spaces and an assistance animal would create a health or safety hazard to you or others (EX: allergies or potential issues with other animals), for this reason there are no pets allowed on this property. Available this summer...beach chairs, umbrella, towels, small cooler, ice packs and beach pass for the town beach. The Shamrock House is within minutes to the beautiful beaches of South County. The world famous Matunuck Oyster Bar restaurant is a must for sunset dining. Jim's Dock restaurant, beach and dock is also a local's favorite. Take a ferry day trip to Block Island to enjoy the beauty of the bluffs, lighthouse, beaches, music and fresh seafood. Block Island ferry is 15 minutes from the house. Make sure to visit The Olympia Tea Room in Watch Hill to watch the sunset and try to catch the ring on the Flying Horse Carousel in Westerly, RI. Let's face it, Rhode Island packs a mighty punch. The Shamrock House has everything you will need to relax and recharge...for each day will bring another adventure. There is a great outdoor space to relax and enjoy. I am available for any questions or recommendation of things to do and see anytime. Schedule a sunset sail or a harbor cruise on a private center console or sailboat. I can make recommendations of local captains and vessels in the area. Wakefield is a charming town with a local theatre', yoga studio, and homemade Brickley's Ice Cream Shop is only a block away. Phil's is a great place to start your day for breakfast on the rooftop deck. Narragansett Beach is an easy 3.3 mile bike ride away for sunrise coffee and bagels on the beach. Surf board, kayak and paddle board rentals are minutes away. Surfing lessons are offered at Narragansett Beach! Several music festivals in Newport, tours of the historic mansions and a tour of the Newport winery give you a local taste. Great shopping venues are found in the historic Village of Wickford and Newport. Charter boats offer a diversified selection of fishing trips. Bring your own equipment or rent from the Captain. Don't forget to plan a trip to Providence (RI Capitol) to enjoy the award winning Water Fire, authentic Italian cuisine and a tour of the east side including Brown University and RI School of design. Take in music and theatre performances at the Theatre By The Sea and the Providence Performing Arts Center. Getting around town is easy. Stroll to town, hop on your bike, or drive scenic Route 1 to one of the local beaches. The smallest state in the Union, just 37 miles wide by 48 miles long, Rhode Island has 400 miles of coastline, counting its many coves, bays, and islands. Much of the coastline is lined with beaches that are open to the public.
