About this space Welcome to our paradise on Oak Island, Pelican Perch! You get to enjoy a brand-new house just built in November 2020, beautifully decorated and furnished with everything brand new: furniture, linens, smart TVs, free WiFi, fully stocked kitchen including brand new Keurig coffee maker, Ninja multi-cooker, blender, electric kettle, toaster, pool, outdoor shower with hot and cold water, laundry and so much more! The Yaupon neighborhood The house is one story with 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms in a perfect Oak Island location in Yaupon Beach. You are just a 3-4 min walk from the beach, Yaupon Fishing Pier, steps from Shagger Jacks restaurant, Island Jo. Coffee shop and Haag and Sons Seafood shop. LIVING ROOM Relax on a comfortable La-Z-Boy sleeper couch and/or a recliner while watching your favorite movies and shows on a brand new 65” LG smart TV. KITCHEN & DINING Our kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need to make a delicious dinner for your family. Our brand-new Keurig coffee maker gives you the flexibility to either use pods or a carafe with a filter. Just bring your favorite pods or ground coffee to start your morning. Our dining room table seats 6 but you can add extra chairs to accommodate up to 8 people. The kitchen counter can seat up to 4 people. BED & BATH This house sleeps 10 guests between 3 bedrooms and a sleeper couch in the living room. The beautifully decorated master suite is furnished with a king bed and includes a 55” smart wall-mounted TV. The second bedroom is appointed with a queen bed. The nearby third bedroom has a twin over full-size bed with a twin trundle underneath. A desk and a flat-screen TV (not shown in pics yet) complete the kid’s room. There are two bathrooms. One is off the master with a shower and double vanity. The other is between the two other bedrooms and has a tub/shower combo. EXTRA AMENITIES & MORE DETAILS Guest amenities include a washer and dryer. Please note that the TV’s are smart and allow access to cable channels, via Sling, and movie channels, via your login to your Netflix, Hulu, or Prime. There’s parking for up to six cars (four in the driveway and two along the street). OUTDOOR AREAS Make a splash in a private pool, that can be heated if requested, surrounded by sun loungers. A charcoal grill lets you prepare your favorite meals in the ocean air, and an outdoor hot and cold shower waits for rinsing off after fun-filled beach days. There is a hose along the side path to rinse off your beach gear. Overlooking the pool is a covered porch that features a patio table that seats four along with a bar (non-stocked). Relax and enjoy the pool with the sound of your favorite music in the background. Just bring your sound speaker and set it up on the back porch! THE LOCATION The home is just a block and a half from the sand and the Atlantic Ocean. Spend sun-soaked days beside the waves or stroll an extra block to cast a line off the Fishing Pier. The manicured fairways of Oak Island Golf Club are only 1 mile away, and you will find a selection of local eateries within 1 to 2 blocks of the house. Make sure you get your fresh local catch at the local fish market only ½ block away. It only takes a 15-20 minute walk or 3-minute drive to get to a Publix or Food Lion grocery store and many shops for food, ice cream, or beach gear. You can also bring your bicycles and ride around the island. Oak Island is a bicycle-friendly island with a dedicated lane for bicycles that stretches across the island for miles. ACCESS Access to the house is at the front or back doors (clean up from the beach using the outdoor hot and cold shower then enter from the back). Both doors have a smart deadbolt lock. To access the lock, make a three with your hand and place the knuckle side of all three fingers flat against the face of the lock. Once the screen displays the number pad, enter your 4-digit code and the lock will retract. To lock the door again, activate the lock (see above) and then press the lock symbol to extend the deadbolt and lock the door. You will be asked to provide your own 4-digit code prior to check-in for your security. The code will only work during your stay. Previous and future guest’s codes do not work during your stay. You must be 25 and older to rent the house. It is not pet friendly. The cleaning fee includes linens which will be provided by the owner. Linens are included in our cleaning price. A set of sheets will be provided per bed per stay. Each guest will have a set of towels (1 bath, 1 hand, and 1 washcloth) per stay. Guests can also do their own laundry as required. A starter pack of 2 packs of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, pods for laundry and dishwasher will be provided. Guests may want to bring their own soap, shampoo, and conditioner if desired.
