Experience peace and quiet at this charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath farmhouse on 30 rolling acres with massive live oak trees, 10 minutes from the heart of Round Top. The property is wonderful for families with children 12 years and older, for a couple's getaway or for a gals’ antiquing trip while the guys fish at nearby Lake Fayette. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate children under 12 or pets at this time. Bring your camera! The kitchen/dining area is huge and a great place to prepare and enjoy meals. The comfy living room is perfect for a movie night or relaxing with your favorite book. The spacious and comfortable downstairs bedroom includes a king bed, sitting area and in-suite full bath. You'll definitely want to soak in the antique tub! The upstairs bedroom includes a queen and two singles, so the farmhouse sleeps 6. The second full bath is downstairs across from the laundry room with full size washer and dryer. Be sure and save some time for grilling & s'mores on the outdoor firepit before closing out the night with some stargazing. Memories are waiting to be made! The farmhouse sits on 30 private acres, accessible via private driveway. Parking is free, private and available only to registered guests. Although there is a winery & brewery within walking distance, private transportation is required to visit other nearby locations/attractions. For guests who desire a more relaxed pace, the farmhouse is located within walking distance to award-winning Blissful Folly Farms, home of La Grange Brewing Co., Rohan Wines & Meadery, & Blissful Folly Hard Ciders. Enjoy the tasting room, open Wednesdays - Sundays, food trucks, self-guided tours through the bee garden, live music and other seasonal events. Additional nearby wineries include Rosemary’s Vineyard & Winery, Blue Mule Winery, Busted Oak Cellars, Rek Hill Distillery, and Kreischs Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Site. Or head to the nearby Fayette County destinations of Round Top, Fayetteville, and La Grange for an abundance of shopping, strolling and eating options! For guests who seek more outdoor and/family activities, the farmhouse is less than 10 minutes from Lake Fayette, voted one of the best bass fishing lakes in Texas, and Oak Thicket & Park Prairie Parks at Lake Fayette. The lake offers fishing & boating and a pet-friendly day-use beach and swimming area, while the parks include multi-use trail systems perfect for hiking, biking, birding and exploring. Additional activities include canoeing and kayaking the Colorado River with Bastrop River Company, about 30 minutes from the property. During the Springtime, fields of bluebonnets and other wildflowers are abundant throughout the area country roads.
