Our large(850sq.ft)studio is urban modern, has a touch of rustic charm, and is comfortable and cozy.We sit on a 5 acre homestead just 2 miles from a small town. The studio sits 35 ft off the back corner of main house.Sunrises are spectacular here and so is the wide open, starry night sky.We are located centrally between Mt. Hood, the Columbia Gorge&Portland. We offer a great place to base yourself to explore all the great sights nearby or just to stay on the quiet country property and soak it all in. Studio is close to, yet detached from main house and has a small back deck with a view of Mt. Hood. Parking is literally “at your door”. Walk to your door in 5 steps, flat ground, no stairs or steps. Studio has a 50” smart TV with local channels off of an HD antenna. There are storage cubes in the room divider shelving unit and also in large drawers under the queen bed. There is also plenty of storage shelves/drawers in the bathroom. Property is on a 5-acre homestead close to town w/grocery shopping, coffee houses and restaurants. Beautiful, peaceful and quiet place to base yourself from. Great for small groups of mtn bikers, skiers, snowboarders and hikers.(Will accommodate more than 4 upon special request.) As much as you like! We are friendly people who love to meet new people but you take the lead in how much interaction you want. We have many tips for local attractions, so just ask! We love our country neighborhood but we also love being close to town and all the necessary amenities. Most of our roads are suitable for walking a mile or more and there is one local old jeep trail nearby which when hiked takes you down to the Sandy River. Wide open spaces and lots of sunshine! We are 1 mile from the landmark Jonsrud Viewpoint which has telescopes and a sweeping view of Mt. Hood and the Sandy River Valley. You will want to have your own transportation for getting around here. You will need a car to visit Mt.Hood, the Gorge. and many other attractions nearby. There is a small bus transit system in Sandy which goes on to Gresham where you can connect with the MAX (Portland's Light Rail System) into downtown Portland and beyond. No pets, no animals allowed.
