This is a stunning cedar home inspired by the Awani in Yosemite. The living room, with 5 meter beam ceilings, river rock fireplace, maple flooring, big leather couches is bright with wood framed windows. We are located 8 min from the Golden Gate Bridge and SF, 8 min from Muir woods, 8 min to the stunning Muir beach, 5 min to kayaking among houseboats in Sausalito, 5 min to hiking and mountain biking. Exciting home in a great location for visiting San Francisco, Mill Valley, Wine country, The Headlands National Recreation Area, Muir Woods, Muir Beach, Mount Tamalpias, Sausalito. The upper level of the estate home has lots of space for family gathering, including a table that seats 12. This is a 210 sq meter space with 1 master bedroom, 2 additional main floor bedrooms, plus a 20 meter upstairs bonus room (4th bedroom) large public area all rimmed by a huge cedar deck, private yard, garden and patio. We are located 8 min from the Golden Gate Bridge and all San Francisco has to offer, 8 min from Muir woods with giant redwoods, 8 min to the stunning Muir beach, 5 min to kayaking among houseboats in Sausalito, 5 min to the Marin Headlands nature for hiking and mountain biking along the coast and Mt Tamalpais. (This is where mountain biking began) View the headlands and then head out for a hike along the stunning coast, with views of the pacific ocean. Hike to Muir beach and stop at the pelican in for a beer and fish and chips or stroll to the ocean along the Tennessee valley road trail. Visit downtown Mill Valley for a show at the Throckmorton or a beer at the Beerworks or a coffee at the Depot. Two Whole Foods markets and a Good Earth organic market are a few minutes away. Muir Beach is 8 minutes away for some beach time, or plan a hike big or small on Mt. Tam or take the historic Dipsea trail from Mill Valley to Stinson beach! Amazing place. great for a family. All upper decks, yard, full floor of main house, two parking places in front of garage. Please note that the parking area is shared space. There will be two other cars allowed to park who belong to the professionals (or us) staying on the lower part of the property. All main floor home is private and yours alone. If I am home, I love to meet the guests and help make recommendations. Even when we are away, I leave hiking guides and local event information. Quaint and trendy Mill Valley was voted the 4th best small town to visit in America with boutiques, galleries, coffee shops, live comedy, theaters and hosting film and art festivals in the summer. Even the library is a beautiful place to visit set in redwood groves and a creekside park that hosts Shakespear and movie nights in the summer. You will have two designated parking places in front of the garage. You will definitely want a car as public transportation is not reliable. It is possible to Uber/ Lyft to the house. If you are coming back from Stinson on the Marin Stagecoach, you can ask them to stop across the street from the house.
