Welcome to our peaceful Sierra Foothills home boasting incredible woodwork, gas fireplace, great room with combined kitchen, living and dining areas, and french doors onto a second story balcony. An elevator to boot! We are .8 miles to town, so we are very central to highways 80 and 49. Come explore Auburn, the American River, Lake Clementine, Auburn State Park, all within minutes of the house. Please respect our home and our neighbors. No smoking anywhere on the property. No parties, period. It is a 2 story home with an elevator (if needed). The main kitchen, living, dining, porch area is large and inviting. You have full use of the upstairs which includes a gas fireplace and porch in the trees. Both bedrooms have desks, closets and dressers. There is a printer available for your use as well. Wifi is fast. Smart TV / Streaming available (Netflix, Amazon prime, Hulu). Please don't purchase programs. 2 air purifiers are available for use as well. We will not be home during your stay, but we keep personal items here. We are vaccinated and boosted. Parking is easy. You must park in the driveway, per our local ordinances. There is room for 2 cars in the driveway. Feel free to message us if you need anything. Very peaceful neighborhood with a 1.5-2 mile loop through the historic olive orchards. Depending on where you are in the neighborhood you can see the snow capped mountains in the Sierras. Auburn is a historic gold mining town in the Sierra Foothills. There is something for everyone in town including restaurants, Saturday Farmer’s Market at the old court house, historic museums, shopping, art studios, and a performing arts center. We walk to downtown all of the time (0.8 miles away), but Auburn isn't known for its sidewalks. The Old Town is 2 miles away. and walkable, but it's all uphill on the way home! Our neighborhood is known for 5,000 olive trees planted in the 1800's, which are visible everywhere. It feels like Italy or Greece. You will need a car when visiting Auburn, although we do walk to town (.08 miles) for dinner often. Just remember it's all downhill going there and all uphill coming back! Biking is fine. Lots of people do it, but you've got the same challenge on the return... We are aware of Covid-19 safety considerations and cleaning is done carefully. We are fully vaccinated, but won't be home during your stay.
