My husband and I enjoy meeting new people and sharing the treasures in the Galveston Bay Area. We are 1.5 miles from the Kemah Boardwalk, minutes from NASA/Space Center Houston, and halfway between Galveston's beaches, Moody Gardens, and Downtown Houston. You’ll love our place because of the quaint island setting, great for sunrise and sunsets. Come watch the boats passing and relax on island time. We have four kayaks, a couple of bicycles, a pool, a hot tub and a fire pit. Underneath the main house is a large area called the red dirt reef you are welcome to share with us. There is a pool, a hot tub and a fire pit on the property to share as well. The sleeping accommodations can be one king; one king and two doubles; or one king and one double. The hot tub and pool are literally a few steps from your door. We also have kayaks, bicycles and some fishing equipment if you have a license and want to try your luck at catching some specs, redfish, flounder and other brackish fish. Come on down, y’all would enjoy, I promise. Please note that we observe quiet hours out of respect for our neighbors (10 pm to 8 am weekdays/11 pm to 8 am weekends) Feel free to spread out a little. In addition to the raised private deck, we have a bar height table, which is perfect for "5 o'clock somewhere"; a glass table, which is perfect for breakfast time; a picnic table for lunchtime meals; and a lawn with a fire pit adjacent to the bungalow . Depending on the timing of your visit, we can be available and enjoy sharing our knowledge of the Houston and Galveston Bay Area. We have lived in the community for 30 years and love to play tour guide. Visitor's brochures can also be found in the bungalow. If you want seclusion, that's okay too. Kemah is one of the largest boating communities in the U.S. and Clear Lake Shores, our little island piece of paradise is considered the Boating Capital of Texas since we have more boats than people. You might want to book a sail boat adventure or fishing trip. FantaSea Charters offers inexpensive leisure cruises. Lots of Uber’s available in the area if we are unavailable. We can help you with most anything from the best place to eat depending on what you’re hungry for to things to do in our area. If you let us know what you would like to do we can help you arrange your schedule to make the most out of your visit so you don’t waste time. When available I am also happy to take you to and from local establishments so you can enjoy and get back safely.
