Island retreat on 15 acres of national park

Enjoy an island retreat on a national park with 15 acres all to yourself. This sprawling cabin is perched on the point of Grey Cloud Island, providing a one-of-a-kind view of the Mississippi River. Soak up the sweeping vistas and enjoy a large kitchen, an in-ground swimming pool, a hot tub, a sunroom and first-rate accommodations. Observe abundant wildlife along 2,400 feet of shoreline. Guest access You'll have the whole place to yourself! Other things to note 1.) Ensuring that you have a WONDERFUL experience is my top priority! You'll find a guest manual in the kitchen. It walks you through the property and suggests area attractions. 3.) On the patio right outside the kitchen you'll find a Weber grill and a large griddle to whip up a stack of flapjacks or fry those sausage links first thing in the morning. We love using it for big groups -- and hope you do too. 4.) One room is under construction and blocked off. It will not interfere with your stay and is going to be an additional room; it is not one listed here. 5.) You can use our 2 canoes, 3 kayaks, life jackets and oars and launch from the floating dock behind our cabin. The shore by our dock is muddy and the dock is old, but it works. 6.) Even though this secluded island is on a wooded national park, you'll still enjoy access to modern creature comforts, including pizza delivery, liquor delivery and grocery delivery via a nearby Hy-Vee. (Details are in the guest manual.) High-speed wi-fi ensures you get CONVENIENCE + SECLUSION on the island. 7.) There are many other great offerings nearby. Search the towns of St. Paul Park and Cottage Grove to see more. Cottage Grove's many nearby restaurants include sushi and Thai food. Downtown St. Paul is just 13 miles north, bursting with historic sites and old-time charm. The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is a 25-minute drive. 8.) You'll find lawn games in the brown shed behind the cabin, including bocce ball, croquet and bean-bag toss. Help yourself. 9.) As noted, we charge $35/guest per night for everyone after the initial 8. This includes any visitors to the property, whether or not they stay overnight. When you go to book, enter the number of guests and Vrbo will tally it and add the $35/guest charge for those after 8. If you are unsure of your exact headcount, make an estimate. We can adjust the price when it's closer to your trip -- either by way of refund or additional charge. 10.) No parties are allowed unless you have expressly received our permission in advance. Noise travels across the river and we want to respect neighbors on the back of the island. 11.) There is an 82" TV in the den. The cabin does not have cable, but we have an Internet connection so you can connect your Netflix, Hulu, Prime accounts, etc. to the TV. Also there is a Chromecast device attached to the TV. Please note: This is the only TV in the cabin. 12.) Yes, we allow weddings and other special events! Getting married on the island is a one-of-a-kind experience that your guests will rave about. Easy access! You can drive to the island. A short bridge connects the mainland to the island.
