Our vintage three bedroom row house was curated with pieces from the socially conscious and eco-friendly Viva Terra who share the same guiding principles as we do. Loving-kindness for our planet, balance and connection and the sincere wish of happiness for all who enter. With a parking space available. In the spirit of the Mettā, we are taking every precaution to maintain a clean and healthy home for our guests and our family. The Space: Casa VivaTerra is more than just heads in beds it's designed to be a completely supportive experience that allows you to connect with yourself and those traveling with you. Our historic 3 bedroom row house (located U st/ Columbia Heights) is a fusion of vintage, global, and modern to make our home your home whether for the night or 28+ nights. We want you to feel that your every need has been considered and comfort knowing that you have a clean and well sanitized home for your stay. You will have all the modern kitchen amenities, a spa shower, organic bedding, and indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and center. There is a large TV if that’s how you relax. We have parking available for you! However please note there is no parking from 7am-3pm on Sundays in our parking spot (V st usually has parking, there is a lot at U and 14th, and spot hero is another option). Please note there is an apartment downstairs (our other listing, the Casita Viva Terra) so please be mindful of the noise . We stay down there or have guests staying. The extra steps we are taking to clean and sanitize: was and sanitize all bedding and towels, wiping down ALL common touch points, added an air purifier and sanitizing wand (that’s for those harder to sanitize items like the sofa and the mattresses.) Guest Access: You will have the entire house and back patio area. Not including the english basement. The Neighborhood: Historic row houses, modern apartments, major retail shops and some of the city’s most distinct dining enclaves in Columbia Heights. Nearby, Meridian Hill Park, a two-level, European style park with terrazzo walls holds fountains, statues and, every Sunday, a lively afternoon drum circle. DC Bike share right out front. Getting Around: Walking is the best way to take it all in and sometimes the fastest way! Then there’s DC bike share right in front of the house. The you have bus, metro, Lyft, or Uber. The closest metro stop is less than half a mile away! Other Things to Note: During this time of covid, we hold our cleaning crew to an even higher standard than we normally do. However, we are all human and mistakes and misses do happen. If anything does not meet your cleanliness standards, please let us know right away and provide pictures so that we may have the opportunity to address the issue as soon as possible so that you may enjoy your stay. Have Fun and ENJOY your stay! * NO SMOKING anywhere inside the home. You may smoke outside, be sure you extinguish what you are smoking before leaving unattended. Be sure that all doors, windows and any opening where smoke may enter the house are closed and secured. HOUSE PARTIES or EVENTS ARE PROHIBITED You agree to act in such a manner as to allow those nearby peaceful enjoyment of their properties. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation at anytime that you violate this policy. Early Check - In: Advance notice is required for early check in requests and we'll do our best to accommodate those requests. We charge $25 per hour starting at 12 noon and will be requested through Airbnb upon check in. Late Check - Out: Check out is on or before 11am. If you would like to extend your check out time, please contact us in advance and we may be able to accommodate your request. Unauthorized late check-outs will automatically be charged 30% of the daily rental rate per hour stay past 11am. Your unique access door code will only work until the checkout time of 11am unless other arrangements have been agreed upon. Accidents: We totally understand that accidents happen but please let us know if something spilled, stained, or gets broken during your stay. Failure to communicate any damages, we will pursue collecting for the damages through Airbnb and charge an additional 20% over and above the replacement costs. PETS MUST BE PRE-APPROVED Please send us a message should you want to bring your pet. There is a nonrefundable fee of $35 per pet that we will request upon check in. You know your pet better than we do, please bring the appropriate accommodations for your particular pet. DO NOT BOOK until we have communicated and agreed on the additional pet fee and approved your pet. Please pick up after your pet when walking them in the neighborhood. If you bring your furry friend along, please also bring along a favorite furniture covering for when they sit on the furniture. If you use the back patio as a relief station for your pet you must immediately pick up after them. Pet feces attracts unwanted pests. We will charge an additional $50 in the event you fail to follow this rule. Interaction with Guests: I am available and want to ensure that you have a Mettā Experience.
