Main floor level apartment of 1830’s row house listed on historic register & located in downtown Maysville. Our renovations were certified in 2021 by Kentucky Heritage Council & US Secretary of Interior for consistency in historic character. Property is walkable to shops, distillery, museum, restaurants, riverfront & more. Main bedroom with king & secondary with two full. Washer & dryer in full kitchen. Great desk/workspace with area's fastest wifi. Tons of historic & custom carpentry goodies. Always available by phone or text and love meeting guests! Walkable, beautiful, historic, downtown Maysville. Our Old Kentucky Home is part of an (eight building) rowhouse that was built in the 1820s and was added to the National Historic Building Registry. You are less than a ten minute walk from: A wide variety of local restaurants including Babz Bistro, O'Rourke's Pub, Parc Cafe, Caproni's, 212 Market, Delite's, etc. Museums like the Kathleen Browning Miniature Museum, the Pogue Experience (both in the Kentucky Gateway Museum center that we offer free admittance to), the National Underground Railroad Museum. An assortment of local boutiques and stores like Local 68, EAT Gallery, Courika Solutions, and many more and new stores opening frequently. Maysville's picturesque, active and inspiring churches including: St Patrick's Cathedral, First Presbyterian Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, First Christian Church and Church of the Nativity. The Washington Opera House (about a two minute walk!) that puts on the best plays and musicals in Kentucky! The production season runs from Spring to Winter, so keep an eye out for their amazing shows. The Russell Theatre where Rosemary Clooney debuted her 1953 movie, The Stars are Singing, and where classic and popular movies are shown on Saturday nights. The Old Pogue Distillery (about a 20 minute walk... or an much easier 5 minute drive) Maysville's Mural project depicting a Shawnee buffalo hunt, life at Limestone Landing, the booming river/rail town, Marquis de Lafayette's 1825 visit to Maysville (where John Armstrong provided the red carpet, literally), the Germantown fair and tobacco farming in Mason County's WFTM ( or World's Finest Tobacco Market as our 95.7 radio station call letters recognize ) Hair and beauty services like Lasting Impressions, Merle Norman, the Fix Salon, Christie Toffan Salon and Boutique. Two city parks (Browning park one has a basketball court and children's play structures; the other is a dog park in the making). Maysville's Amtrak station (consider a Maysville trip via the rails!). And, of course, the homes and buildings are destinations by themselves as evidence by the historical walking tour you will have access to when you book with us. Parking for our Old Kentucky Home is on the front, just 40 feet away from your apartment door. Additional parking is available at the public parking lot a two minute walk east. Walk, bike, run or kayak! If you're traveling without wheels please see our neighborhood description to see all the things within walking distance. Geno's Taxi offers transportation solutions and the Maysville City Bus has a stop one hundred feet away. My favorite run was always "The Bridges": run east on 2nd to the Old Bridge (Simon Kenton bridge just East of Downtown), run to Ohio, run west along the river to the New Bridge (the Harsha Bridge), run to Kentucky and run east (carefully as its a narrow two lane road) back to the historic district. If you want, you can travel to and from Maysville via Amtrak. Our city's historic station is only a ten minute walk away!
