A Delightful Forest Cabin Surrounded by Nature
Nestled in a mountain hollow and surrounded by maple, birch and hemlock trees, this cabin is perfect for creative retreats, a gathering of friends, or family getaways with kids. Built in 1900 on 37 acres surrounded by preserves, the cabin features beautiful craftsmanship and views into the forest from every window. Birdwatch while taking a bath, hike along the trout-filled creek, venture into lovely Phoenicia + Woodstock, or snowboard at Hunter or Belleayre mountains 30 min away. This home is very child friendly with a bassinet, pack n' play, and baby gates for both the stairs and wood stove available to guests. In winter, it's advisable for guests to use a 4WD vehicle to navigate the driveway to the house. Pets are welcome so long as they can resist sleeping on the furniture! We are flexible hosts available by phone, text or email to assist in any way needed. Call us for recommendations to nearby activities, hiking trails, restaurants and activities. The cottage is on a secluded road but just 20 minutes to Woodstock's markets and shopping, 10 minutes to The Pines diner in Mt. Cell service is spotty in the Catskills but available in the woods behind the cabin. There is fast and reliable 2G + 5G Wi-Fi at the cabin, so we advise guests to enable Wi-Fi Calling on their devices before arriving in order to make and receive phone calls.
